Fitbit Update 03/31/2016, 12:13 PM: Our team is still working on getting this issue resolved. The fix will be included in an app update that should be coming soon. Once I can confirm which release you will be seeing the fix in, I will make sure to share the update with you all here.

Fitbit Update 02/03/2016, 01:25 PM: We're aware of an issue where exercise sharing on Android crops out the activity statistics when attempting to share.

The expected behavior is that you're able to share a picture along with activity statistics as seen below on the left. Instead of the image with statistics, you're sharing an image like on the right with no stats.

Our engineers are currently looking into the root cause of this and will be providing me with an update. Once I hear that update, I will make sure to make you all aware.

Thanks to everyone who has reported this. Looking forward to sharing updates soon!

What if you want to share exercises without any photo, but just the map of your exercise and stats? I know there's the issue of the stats not showing, but I don't want to include any other photo?

@fredjrex@Miamigirl Thanks for the heads up. Our team is still working on the root cause of this and getting a fix out as soon as possible. I will make sure to let you all know if I hear of any other updates.

@MsSpammy What I do is I screenshot the map once I complete and sync my activity. Once I am prompted to take a picture of my exercise when I go to share it I click on the icon on the left that allows me to select a picture from my photo gallery. I then select the screenshot and adjust it to fit and share. Hope that helps out.

Thanks @ErickFitbit

Although I don't think you should have to go screenshotting and adding from gallery. It's just not used friendly with too many moves before sharing.
I think I'll be sticking to RunKeeper unless this changes as once you've finished your exercise on there it's just one button press away from sharing.

Same problem here. screenshot the map is one solution to a problem that should't exists in first place.

Please share the map and the picture as optional.

Does anyone else also have trouble with the app rotating the picture? If I try to use a picture from my gallery, it comes out sideways in my Fitbit app. I even tried rotating the picture the other way first to compensate. Plus my stats don't show

I agree, an update would be nice. Seems like we've had a sofware update on the device and app update since this has been going on while the issue hasn't been resolved.

Has there been an eta on the fix yet? Still can't seem to share with overlays, just wondering how long?

April 4th, this is happening to me too, for several weeks now! Fitbit support is unaware of the situation and can't even give me anything useful to go on. Can we expect an update or is this just going to be the end for us, who use the sharing tool for motivation and tracking our fitness on Facebook purposes? Very frustrated, nobody can tell me anything.

One of the reasons I got the fitbit surge was because of the sharing stats feature. Truely disappointed that it's not working. And the fact that it is taking so long to fix is not promising. Is IT Dept at fitbit even aware of problems. Beginning to think no one is really even reading or taking this chat forum seriously.

I even sent an email to fitbit support. Would be nice to have some sort of recognition about the ongoing issue. Wonder how long....
