This was posted back in march of 2018, why has the samsung galaxy s9 NOT be added to the list of devices. I recently upgraded my phone and am no longer able to use my purchased fitbit blaze! Highly disappointed!!!

Best Answer

Super disappointed...had been working ok on my S9+ until this week, just spent the last hour chatting with customer service only to find out I now have to sync with my computer or tablet.

I agree with all the other customers who are surprised, and very disappointed, that Fitbit staff can't figure out how to connect us to Samsung Galaxy S9. My Charge HR has never been able to sync to my S9. This failure makes me unlikely to buy another Fitbit product.

At this moment we do not have anything to announce.

I fully understand where you are coming from and please know that our team is aware of the need to add further devices. As soon as we have some details we'll be sharing them with everyone.

@CandieB In case you haven't, be sure to try the general troubleshooting steps. Some users have said that it works for them with phones that are not on the list. It is important to mention that we cannot fully guarantee that it will work.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

My versa was working with my S9 for 2 months and now no longer works, so I am left with an expensive paperweight whilst I go buy a garmin

Apparently every Fitbit is different. My Charge 2 synced right way. I don't think I get notifications but it doesn't really bother me anyway.

I've had my Surge for about 2 years and up until now it had been syncing with a Galaxy S6.  At first, it worked great, but over the last year I was having issues consistently syncing with my S6.  I got an S9 about a month ago and it was syncing ok with my Surge--by ok, I mean that I usually had to restart my Surge at least 3 or 4 times before it would sync but at least I was able to get a sync out of it eventually.  A few weeks ago it stopped syncing completely so I tried everything to get it to work, including uninstalling/reinstalling the app and removing the device from my account with the intent to re-add it.  Well, now my phone can't even find the Surge to add it.  This issue is very frustrating and I have wasted hours of my life trying to get my Surge to perform the way it's supposed to.  This device is supposed to aid me in living a healthy life and instead it is adding stress.  I hope this issue is resolved quickly, otherwise I will need to look at other brands that are compatible with my phone.

Hi there everyone as my friend @LanuzaFitbit mentioned before, we understand your frustration and one of the common behaviors with the S9 / S9+ are the notifications.

At the moment there hasn't been any updates or confirmation of the compatibility of the Galaxy S9, nonetheless I or any of the moderators, might be posting future updates if something new comes up.

new version of the Fitbit app has started to rolling out, which contain stability improvements, security patches and bug fixes that might provide some help to improve the functionality of the app. This version is being gradually released, scheduled to be available for all our Android users. If you are not able to see this update, try to review your Google Play store at a later time. For more details you can review this post.

See you around!
