I've had my Samsung A8 since the middle of May. It has never worked with my HR2...I was okay with the no syncing because I was still able to see my step count, heart rate, etc. and enjoy the fact that I had a watch too. Today the watch portion got messed up somehow and is showing the incorrect time and date. Doesn't sync, so I have a useless fitbit. Very disappointed! I love my fitbit. Did all the troubleshooting and finally called support. They offered me a 25% discount on a new tracker...really.

Yes, my Versa worked almost flawlessly for 45 days..then an update to the app and firmware so yes, it's hit or miss and can happen anytime.

I am really disappointed with FitBit. I have been waiting for over 2 months to have this problem fixed. I bought the Blaze for the convenience of notifications.  I do not have excess money to keep replacing a fitness watch. What a RIP off.  Get up to date. Would not suggest Fitbit to anyone at this time. You are losing customers.

I have Fitbit flex and Samgung S9. Try to uninstall the app, then reinstall it. My Fitbit works on my s9  had no problems so far.  I downloaded the app onto new phone, it kept all info from 2 years go, nothing was lost when I stopped wearing after the strap broke... 18 months later, I charged it up, got new straps and it works fine.

/If your Fitbit syncs (in terms of time and steps) but you don't receive
notifications - try the Fit Notification (Not the Fitbit) - it's a third
party app available in the play store for free. I use it and get my
texts, calls, facebook messages, e-mails - you can set it up for
notification for practically anything that your phone gets notifications
for. Great little free program!!  I have a Charge 2 HR and a Samsung 9+
and they've been working together for about 3 months now with no problem./

Do you know if the Fitbit Notification app work with Versa?

No - I don't know if the Fit Notification works with Versa - but it's
certainly worth a try.  I know it works with Versa and some of the other
phones - just don't know about the Samsung 9

Hello we recently purchased S9 phones and can get the fitbit to sync steps, however, the exercise app the connection just spins.  Seeing as the S9 has been out for awhile is there any hope this will be fixed or should we just return the versa?

Your troubleshooting steps don't work and speaking to your customer services you get the same copy paste responses over and over again. They don't even read the previous emails you have sent, so end up repeating themselves. With 31 million samsung S9s having been shipped that is a massive community of people you have decided you can't be bothered to deal with. This loyal fitbit user has been disgusted by your service and your laxidaisical approach to providing support for at the most popular products in the market place. Your company should be ashamed of itself.

What is the samsung watch? I bought a new fit bit as was mislead that it was a battery issue when it was a compatibility issue

Honestly I would return it, customer support will just copy past the same troubleshooting steps and then inform you that the s9 isn't supported at this time and that they have no timescale for when testing will start. I emailed them for three weeks and got nowhere with them. They eventually told me to post on the community pages for support.

Their service is shocking and their approach to product testing is lacklustre.

Hi, I'm sorry, I know it sucks, and I cant believe they aren't doing anything about it.
I do want to clarify that I AM NOT an employee of Fitbit.
I'm just a guy who owns a fitbit BLAZE and figured out a way to get it to pair with my s9+.
I posted my solution to help others. I do not have a VERSA so I can't help there. I'm sorry your frustrated. I totally agree that Fitbig needs to get its stuff together if it hopes to have a successful business

I've now got to change my post. I'm constantly getting bluetooth connection issues with my charge 2. Every morning I'm having to turn off the bluetooth and reconnect, sometimes taking more than once to get them to "talk" to each other. This is getting frustrating beyond belief. The handset has now been out 4 months so is not classed as new. Come on fitbit. New firmware or sort out the incompatibility issues please!

I just chatted with them last night, samsung galaxy 9 and 9 plus are not compatible. I do get my steps, but no notifications, and the app will not sync. Pretty disappointed with them

So did mine for a couple of weeks. You must be one of the lucky few. Let's hope it doesn't go wrong for you. I don't want anyone else to have to experience the non-committal, dismissive attitude of Fitbits customer service.
