How soon do you expect the Ionic to be compatible with the new Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+?

My Surge worked when I first got my S9, but then a month later it completely stopped syncing and won't even pair with my phone.  This is very frustrating and I am done with Fitbit.  I ordered a Garmin this week.

This was 6 months ago now, is FitBit ever going to add the S9? I can't even add my FitBit to my phone at all.

Fitbit was adding the S9 2 days ago and sent out an update. Although it still doesn't appear on their list, mine is now working perfectly.

Very happy for you but no joy here.

This Fitbit link says that version 2.77 was released on 8-21-18 and that you can download the latest version of the app here. The last link takes you to the Google Play Store (Fitbit app page) where it says I already have the app installed... but nothing about an update or a download.

All I can find on my Laptop and S9 is that I have Firmware version 24.24.30.2   That sounds nothing like "version 2.77" quoted above.  I'm guessing that 2.77 is an app update and not a firmware update.  ???  How can I see which app version I have?

Thanks!

I just talked to customer support this morning, and they confirmed that the S9 is still not supported.

Diana Lynn Did you have to do something special for it to start working?

Please hurry up.  I just got my Samsung Galaxy S9 yesterday and I need my FitBit app to work on my new phone!!

Mine also began working with an update yesterday. Verizon pushed a Samsung update, and Fitbit had an update. I'm not sure which one resolve the issue, but my fitbit syncs correctly and is no longer interfering with connection to my car. Woohoo!

I just got my Galaxy s9 yesterday and since it wasn't working with the app, I was just doing a Live Chat with someone from FitBit and they confirmed that they do not have the app for the s9 users yet.  I just switched from verizon to xfinity/comcast yesterday... 😞  I've only had my charge2 fitbit for a month. Had an s5.

Yes. I checked their website and the S9 is not compatible.
It works off and on. Mine stopped synching on August 12th and i cannot get
it to work again.

The most current version of the Android OS. AT&T is pushing it out right now. I'm not sure about other carriers.

Also the Samsung Smartthings app should be updated as well.

But as I said, after updating the app to 2.77 it's no longer synchronizing with any consistency.

What would be of great help with all of this is if the Fitbit app on either the phone or desktop would actually tell you what's happening instead of infuriating progress bars that just time out.

Is the Galaxy S9 going to be added? If not, I will have to buy a different tracking device that will be compatible to it. I love my fitbit and don't want to change 😞

Hi I did some searching of fixes and someone suggested removing the app and deleting the watch from your account? I did that last night and it is still working? so that could be worth a try? good luck?
