After the most recent update, whenever I try to change the serving size, it keeps flipping back to the original. The same happens with the slider for "common" foods. It just keeps going back to what it was. I've tried restarting the app and uninstalling and reinstalling. Any suggestions?
With this on top of the dashboard not matching the food log, how can I revert to a previous version?

Hello @s_golds, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community. This was a glitch within the app but it was resolved in the latest updates. For this, I recommend to follow the steps from this post.
Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Whenever I'm entering a serving size of a food I have logged at least once before, the entry field will glitch and stutter, and anything I've written in there gets reverted back to what it was late time (e.g. if I try to log semi-skimmed milk, and last time I logged 200ml, when I start writing a new amount, the serving size box will keep glitching and will revert back to "200ml" at least 2 times before I can actually enter the new number.
I have checked and I'm on the latest Android app version (2.51) and I have tried clearing the app cache but to no avail. Please help!

Hello @s_golds, good to see you again. Thank you for your observation about the post and yes the version of the app mentioned on that instructions is to the date of that post. However it was updated including the article that includes all the most recent versions so it can be apply in general for clearing cache.
About the serving size issue, I tried to replicate the issue with my Android and I wasn't able to see the issue. So I'm how you are login the food? In other words are you login with decimals?
If the issue persists try to log your food normally and if the serving size change back, try to edit the entry by accessing to the food you just entered.
Keep me posted.

Hello @DCASH, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I took the liberty to merge your post to this thread since this is the second time I saw a similar scenario.
Please take a look at my previous post to gather more information and keep a close eye to this issue. In addition, try to Log out from your Fitbit app and restart your phone. Once your phone has loaded go back and log in to give it another try.
In the meantime I will give follow up and don't forget to let me know how it goes.

Hello Roberto,
I had already seen and read this post, and didn't wish for mine to be merged, which is why I gave an explanation on how the fixes you suggested didn't work.
In regards to your previous message to s_golds, you seemed to not understand the problem. The numerical doesn't change after having entered the log, it changes during the process of entering the number, as I described in my post.
Your new idea of logging out of the app has worked (thanks), but this has only fixed the outcome, not the cause of the glitch, so I'm concerned that the glitch will come back, and having to regularly log out and in is not a fix, just an annoying work-around.
I'm hoping there will be a software update to fix the issue .
If you're trying to recreate it, try going to food log your most frequent food that you often have different amounts of (for me it was milk: 150ml, 320ml, 260ml etc) as I've found that when the foodstuff has been entered with many different figures, it causes the number twitch to happen.
Thanks for the action, and the temporary fix. I await to see what happens next
D 🙂

OK, update. The glitch is immediately back.
Trying to enter how many grams of breakfast cereal eaten (42 g) and it glitched back to 50g six times whilst I was tyring to write the figure!

I followed your instructions and it didn't do anything. Still getting the bug. There's a thread from over two years ago reporting this bug, and it's still happening, what gives?
And to clarify what this bug is doing: I constantly have to fight to enter food as it'll reset the serving side before I have the chance to even submit it.
Example: Search Chocolate kiss, default serving size is set to "Serving" and some random number. Two things can happen:
1. If I am simply editing the number, I will delete the number that is there, enter the number I want, and before I can save the log it'll reset the number to what the default value is. I have to go through this process 3 or 4 times it seems before it'll leave the number I enter long enough for me to submit it.
2. I want to edit the measurement, not the portion. So change "Serving" to "Pieces". 1 Piece is 23 calories, 1 serving is several hundred. I change it to "pieces" but before I can submit the log, it'll reset it back to "Serving". I again have to fight with it 3 or 4 times before it'll let me submit what I want.
Again, I just did the clearing cache, force stop, reset phone thing. And it is still doing this. It's ridiculous that people are spending a couple hundred $ and then have to fight with a basic feature for several years (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Logging-food-resets-portion/td-p/1158663)

For those that find this thread in the future, the solution (that worked for me) was found here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Editing-serving-size-is-not-changing-and-some-suggestion...
You have to actually logout of your account in the app (click your account tab in the upper right corner, scroll to the bottom and click "log out"). Log back in, and the problem appears to be gone, but you'll have to set up the main page of your app if you've edited it (where the different options sit, not a big deal).
