I had a charge 2 and after 2 years running on same Samsung phone, it would no longer sync. I troubleshooted with Fitbit CS, but nothing got it to sync ever again. Did absolutely every fix suggested on Fitbit site, on Google searches. No sync.
Now, I am looking at buying a Charge 3
However, with all the trouble numerous people are having with their Charge 3 syncing with their android, I am looking outside of Fitbit for another tracker.
Input would be greatly appreciated.

@RuffusU It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry to hear about your syncing with issues between your phone and your Charge 2. Currently there is an issue syncing with Android 9 (Pie), you can check this thread to keep up to date with this. The team is aware of this issue and is working on solving it. If this isn't the case you can always check the help article. If you try the Charge 3 remember that you have 45 days to return it if you purchase it from Fitbit.com so you can try it and make a decision in this period of time.
Let me know how it goes!

I appreciate your answer AlvaroFitbit, but your answer seems incredulous. "The team is aware of this issue and is working on solving it. If this isn't the case you can always check the help article. If you try the Charge 3 remember that you have 45 days to return it if you purchase it from Fitbit.com so you can try it and make a decision in this period of time." What?!
AlvaroFitbit, why would a Fitbit purchaser have to just "wait and see" if Fitbit comes up with a solution for a product that has been on the market for almost 4 months, and for those 4 months there have been major syncing and paring issues?
So I guess the advertisement for the Charge 3 should be-- buy it, but beware the 4 month long syncing and pairing issues have not been resolved; but you can return it, just do it within 45 days of purchase. Really?
Wow. I really liked my Charge 2 and promoted it to friends and family. Now, I have taken the risk on purchasing the Charge 3....from Costco, where I can return within 90 days for a full refund. I really want the Charge 3 to work, as I really liked the Charge 2.
I hope that the Fitbit Corp.can renew their customer's high ratings on its products and customer service.
