@Lou15aMy Sony XP Android V7.0 gives me the connections, messages and mail.. Ensure your options are "on" in your Dashboard. I don't use music so I can't help there.

It's great to welcome you @Lou15a and @Colinm39 thanks for stopping by.

Our team is currently working in testing the compatibility of several phones, I recommend keeping an eye on our list of compatible mobile devices for any update. In the meantime, you can try the instructions provided by @MarreFitbit in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post and check this post regarding the music inconvenience.

Catch you later. Smiley Happy

Hi,

I would like to purchase a fitbit alta HR but my phone isn't in compatibility list. I have a Sony Xperia XZ running on Android 7. Does any one have those two devices and do they work correctly together ?

I've tried with a friend to pair his alta HR with my phone using his account without success. So I'm little bit worried about compatibility 😕

@FlorentLprtr Welcome to the Fitbit Community! You may be experiencing those issues as a result of that mobile device not being under the list of supported devices.

I recommend setting it up on a computer. Once set up, try to just log in to your account on the Fitbit app on your phone and check if you are able to sync it!

Try that out and let me know how it goes!

Hi I'm wanting to purchase a Blaze for hubby for his birthday and just want to confirm it's compatible with Sony Xperia XZ.

Unfortunately it's not on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices

This means that it has not been officially tested and confirmed to work by fitbit so it may or may not work. Hopefully you'll get a response from a XZ owner who can confirm either way. If you don't get such a response then it'll be a big gamble.

Hi,

Sorry but I choose an other device from another brand. I don't buy an accessory

if I not sure that it's fully compatible with my phone.

@FlorentLprtr Sorry to see you go! Hopefully, we will be able to see that device listed in the nearest future. Maybe you can consider getting a Fitbit tracker by then!

Happy stepping! 🏃

Doesn't work with Xperia xz when this gonna get fixed

I have a Sony Xperia XZ and it works fine with my phone. The only issue i have and i'm not sure if its related to just the XZ is 250+ steps. Sometimes it will register on the watch but not on the XZ and sometimes vice versa.  But all other features work fine.

A warm welcome to the Community @Julieb70@Garyhhill@SteveH and @Garyhhill thanks for stopping by.

Keep in mind that in order to connect properly your tracker with your phone it needs to be compatible. I recommend checking our list of compatible mobile devices to see if yours is listed. Some phones that are not compatible connect with the tracker but I don't guarantee it will have all the features or that it will work 100% all the time.

Hi is there any update on this, it's now June 2017 and I've noticed that people have been having problems with this since end of 2016...

Hey there @EvoRob, thanks for stopping by! The Sony XZ may have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but it's currently not on our list of supported devices. This means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list what means that we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added. If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), I recommend giving the setup flow a try by following what @DerrickS shares here.

If setup does not work, I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates! Smiley Wink

So I've got most of it working it's just the heart rate function that doesn't seam to be working... And there's no way in telling when they'll add new devices... That not great seeing as users have been asking for over 6 months for support...!!! If I'd know about these issues before I might have looked at an alternate sports device that has better connectivity....

@Garyhhill@Julieb70@AlbertStClairGreat news, now others will know . Sony XZ works.

I have the Sony XP since last year and was updated to Android V7.1.1 recently and it has always worked and it's not on the compatibility list.

I have always had the 250+ steps issue since it was released and a few of us feel it is just a few seconds either way at the end and start of the hour. My testing looked at Telco network time, PC time and the Blaze and sometimes it was up to 30 seconds different.

But as I type this, and using the Telco Network (Android phone) as my base time.. The Blaze is 21 seconds slower and the PC is 2 seconds slower..
