Step count first shows with incorrect number before refreshing to correct number

I'm using Mobile Tracking on a Samsung S8+.

When I first go into the app, the step count shows me a large number (over 100,000 by the end of last week), then refreshes itself to the correct daily total after a point.

I thought it might just be the weekly total, but it didn't refresh after the first week.

I restarted my phone yesterday, and it was fine.

Today, it is doing it again.

I'm guessing it's showing the total since the last time I started my phone, but that's just a guess.

@SunsetRunner It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

I will gladly assist you with this. Where are you viewing this information? Could you share a screenshot? It does take time for the data to refresh on the app as this is pulled from the Fitbit servers and it also tries to sync your device so all information is uploaded to your account.

I look forward to your reply.

Here are the screen shots. FirstLook is when I first came in. SecondLook
is after it refreshed.
If I restart my phone, it is fine that day, but the next day, it starts
climbing again (so the larger number seems to be the sum of all my steps
since I restarted my phone).

I don't know why the screenshots don't show on the last post.

Here they are
