Update 2/1/2021: This issue was resolved with the release of android app version 3.37.1. We appreciate your reports and patience as we worked on a resolution.
Update 1/29/2021: We've released Android app version 3.37.1 to address syncing issues. Please update your device if you are experiencing issues syncing. Thanks again for your patience as we worked to resolve this issue.

Carol, I agree there is no excuse this happens frequently after releasing an update. I remember at least twice... what makes it such an issue is the phone support has not a clue that this issue is present. There can be two reasons 1. The phone support as other off shore support sites were not told, or not sure that you know most off shore phone support rooms get paid by the call's in not for their successes! Sorry you are having this issue.
So far today I have received over 70 post to the forum, and understand 1000's of users are all in the same situation. The problem is a problem CAN'T be solved if support and higher OWN the issues would be solved or if they had better quality control before the update is released!

Wish there had been an email sent around to everyone about this problem si o dodnt spend and waste so long trying this morning. And another email when it is fixed so we dont have to keep checking.. so obvious.

I remember that! Then it was an issue regarding auto sync for Heart Rate now this and I understand there were other issues.....
I have had a Fitbit 6+ years and this frequently happens re updates to the apps. The problem is
that phone support knows nothing about this issue I wasted a lot of time in the past two days and I even asked is this a global issue to both front line support and to supervisors .... They all say no global issue ... in conclusion phone support must be paid on a number of calls answered not the number of solutions!!!

My Versa 2 has stopped Syncing with my Samsung Galaxy A10 phone. I have performed all of the troubleshooting steps and it still does not work. What are my next steps?

What about the same issues with Android 10? Are you planning on fixing that? Why are no new Android phones syncing with Versa 3?

Everytime i reset my watch it won't do the Bluetooth pairing and linking to my phone and I did all the steps and it won't sync and when I update the firmware it gets so far and then said not working

Hi I have a versa 3 since October. Since Tuesday morning I have been unable to sync it with my android phone. Have spent hours reading, researching and trying every suggestion. No joy!

Hi All , this happened to me and I tried this (seem to have worked so far......) .
Uninstall fit bit app from android phone
install fit bit on to windows 10 laptop(needs bluetooth)
turn off bluetooth on phone
plug tracker in to laptop USB and install
unplug tracker from laptop and turn off bluetooth
turn on bluetooth on phone
install app on to phone and set up as a new device using existing user detail.
I lost a couple of days stats but seems to be ok now.
Tracker firmware 35.72.19
Android 9 on Galaxy J4

Communications from Fitbit are appalling. They have my email address. They send me notifications about badges earned, they know my device, and they probably know I downloaded the app from Google play. They can send me emails about subscribing to Premium.
But they cannot tell me that there is a problem syncing my tracker with the app.

first & last time I ever own a fitbit - never had any issue with Garmins. Only reason I have this versa2 is because it was a present 8 months ago.
The whole set up process was a chore with android and I refuse to buy anything Apple. My son has a second hand Ipad-Air that was given to him by a relative, so I was able to sort out this sync issue using that.
Such a shame as I loved the device while it actually worked. Shame the software devs can't stand by their product.
