Mine just started working try force stopping it and then clearing the cache. I just did and it fixed it.
I don't know if it's going to keep working or glitch out again but it even fixed the time.

I just got my versa 3 this week and 3 out of 5 days its been useless. This is beyond frustrating, especially when you're monitoring a heart condition.
Why is the pairing of the device linked to the syncing? Why can't it pair to the app and then later allow it to sync to the server?

@Southern_Belle You would need to do an internet search for v 3.36, and download it from a source other than Google Play Store, which *may* be risky, depending on the source. You would also need to change your security settings to allow your phone to install from Unknown sources.
If you are uncomfortable doing that (and there are valid reasons why you could/should be), I suggest you wait for Fitbit to fix the app.
If you haven't done a factory reset on your Fitbit, then it will still log steps, heart rate, etc. - and when the app is officially fixed, it should be fine.

I had the same thing happen. I bought a new Fitbit in the fall and my old phone didn't work with it, so I bought a new phone. When I talked to customer support yesterday, she told me my phone wasn't compatible. It's been compatible since October, but now all of a sudden it isn't?

Same here, I've only had my Fitbit for a week but it worked fine with my GJ8, then today it stops working and the guy on the chat tells me it's not compatible and to purchase a new phone or device. Like, really?

Here's a work around, at least for those that have a Windows PC. It turns out that my problem, due to my temporary use of my older phone, was the even older version of Android. So I tried seeing if there was a Windows 10 app. There was -- Fitbit is in the Microsoft store. So if your computer has bluetooth, you can install the Fitbit app on Windows 10 and at least sync your information to your account that way. When they eventually fix the Android Fitbit app, you can reconnect your watch to your phone.
Temporary workaround, but at least you can get your data. It will have to do for me until I get my G6 back next week (and hopefully by then they have fixed the app) Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/fitbit/9wzdncrfj1xx for the WIndows app

This has been going on for two days...when will this be fixed. Tried for past two days to update my Versa lite , nothing working. Still error message that there was a problem updating. Tried everything suggested. Watch just shows scrolling message “download fitbit app” in different languages. Nothing else visible not even clock. Very very frustrating!!

Tell your useless customer service reps on Twitter and the phone to stop telling your customers that the issue is our phones. Our phones worked just fine with your watches until the latest update. The problem is entirely on your side.
