I have the same problem. My app updated 2 days ago and now it won't sync. The helpdesk couldn't do anything to help me.

Will the app issue be resolved soon?
I will be returning 3 Fitbit versa 3 watches tomorrow if this is not permanently resolved before then.

@KateFitbit I solved it by downgrading the app to version 3.36.1 (from 14/01/2021). Can't your team just rollback it so everyone can go back to use their watches, while you take your time to figure it out? There is much more value for us to use the previous version now, than waiting for Fitbit to figure it out and deploy a fix, which probably will come with other bugs because of the pressure.
If someone is interested, I downloaded it from the Aptoide repository. I can't share instructions or the installer here because it is against the community guidelines.

So I just tried something and it worked I don't know if it's going to keep working or glitch out again but it's working right now.
What I did was I went to the app and forced stopped it and cleared the cache.
It even fixed the time!! try it and let me know please.

Any idea how long we will have to wait?? I have a 10 day old Versa 3 that cost me £159 and it wont sync. Followed every trouble shoot but nothing. So I have a useless bracelet.

So my biggest question is what I am supposed to do with my now useless fitbit that I unpaired due to suggestions from your moderators on different threads. I have to track my crap for a class; I can't. Why is this taking several days to fix?

To those who want to install an older version of the Fitbit app for Android, a word of caution. There are more fake or adware-loaded versions on the web than genuine archived Fitbit versions. Clearly the moderators will pull this post if I list the site where I found older versions, but it's been mentioned here and can be found. (I did not find a genuine Version 3.36.1, though.) But look first at the size of the download. The genuine Fitbit app is over 120 megabytes in size. I have found some versions that appear to include, at the least, advertisements, and perhaps worse. Curiously, these versions are smaller, about half the size of the real app. Perhaps taking them apart, adding malware, and recompressing them reduced the size. Other downloads are even smaller, and are sometimes just apps that in turn download something else. (I'm not sure just what they download.) Moreover, the download pages are designed to get you to click to download other, unfriendly apps, thinking you're clicking on the button to download the Fitbit app. I've had the button for the malevolent download appear a fraction of a second before I clicked on what had been the real download button.
Installing any version from outside the Google Play Store is a bit complicated. Security settings must be adjusted to allow apps from outside sources. I've installed non-Play-Store versions on a test phone first just to be sure I'm not loading malware. (I download files using a Linux system, so I can't even say for sure that the sites themselves don't load malware on a Windows or a Mac system.) So far the Version 3.26.1 and Version 3.28 files I've used have caused no harm that I can detect and seem to work well on my phones running Android 7.1.1 and Android 8.1.0, but, as they say, your mileage may vary.

HelenBJA, "Android 3.37" is how the Fitbit team refer to version 3.37 of the Fitbit app, not the Android version on which it runs. It's very confusing. Ordinarily, of course, "Android 3.37" would be taken to refer to Android version 3.37 (which is about 10 years old). Like you, I have Android 8.10 running on my phone, and like you, I found that it stopped syncing a few days ago. Version 3.37 of the Fitbit app appears to have stopped syncing for at least some people running Android 7, Android 8, Android 9, and Android 10.

AngelDavis, That's very interesting! I hadn't thought to clear the cache. I've gone back to version 3.26.1, which is working, but it will be interesting to see if your fix works for others still on 3.37 . Clearing the cache is often recommended as a fix and I just didn't think to try it.

Okay, I asked for patience yesterday afternoon but today, I'm about at the end of my own. Friday afternoon and no updates, so what are the chances it won't be fixed until Monday at the earliest? 🙄

Tried all of that and my Brand New Charge 4 is not syncing. Not being paired on bluetooth nor by deleting and re-adding to the app. The app has also been reloaded.
