Fitbit issue....they need to fix soon or will loose faithful customers. Given up, will try again tomorrow. Been using my phone to track my steps for now. These watches are not cheap!

RowdyNason: OK, let's see if I can get this past the censors.  I found 3.26.1 at a site called "up" (and then, no spaces) "to" (once again, no spaces) "down" (no spaces) dot (meaning, put a period there) "com".   I looked at "ap" (no spaces) "to" (ditto) "ide" but the versions there were much smaller (about half-size) and when I uncompressed the app file on my PC I found what looked like ads in the app's resources.  (My test phone wouldn't even install those versions anyway.)  On my phones I just had to double-click on the downloaded app file to install it.  I had to set my security to allow installation of outside apps, though.  Good luck!

I suspect that this issue has to do with GOOGLE purchase!

I suspect that GOOGLE wants to bury fitbit so as to SELL GOOGLE FIT WATCHes!

for me, the problem is that I am in a STEPBET game with $40 on the line and if I cannot SYNC then I LOSE... and this will NOT make me want to upgrade to a GOOGLE ANYTHING! My hubs just bought me the new Charge4 at christmas just because I asked and he loves me. I could be made to HATE GOOGLE over this one issue. Yes I am that petty. but remember.... FITBIT is no longer... it's now GOOGLE's purchase to do with as they see fit.

Yeah, same issue here with a Galaxy J7. I was able to get my Sense working on my Ipad Air 2 by downloading the app (v 3.36 1013) and doing the sync that way. So I have it working for now but would rather have it on the phone but I can wait. 😣 Thanks for all the effort.

and do you suppose that GOOGLE wants it fixed? or does new owner GOOGLE want to bury fitbit? Is it time to just cut losses? Losses... we already lost... stock!

Yes this is what I did as well. So far so good. I am waiting for another

Actually this has happened before over the years before Google was
involved. This one just seems to be taking a long time to fix

Since you have our email contact info seems updates could be rolled out instead of us having to dig deep to find this. My Versa 3 is awesome and working perfectly until yesterday at 8:43pm

Working again here as of yesterday and a 24 hour outage.

Here's what I noticed. Right before it started working again, I updated my phone to Android 11 and One UI 3.0 (Samsung Galaxy S10+). As a matter of course during any such major phone OS update, caches are cleared and apps reset. Which means that Angel's previous recommendation to force stop the app and clear the cache will likely work to fix this issue for the majority of users. If it does not, try clearing data too (in addition to cache).

After the phone's OS upgrade, my Sense automatically sent up an alert to re-pair with my phone via Bluetooth, and all was well again. Thus why I believe force stopping, clearing the cache (and maybe data too) may work.

If it doesn't, you're no worse off that you were before so it's at least worth a try. 🙂

My charge 4 last synced on  Tuesday 12:23 am!!!! We wasted hours trying everything to resync till we read the threads. Today is Thursday afternoon!! Why can't you get this fixed. I am soooooo disappointed. I hope you get this fixed. I love the idea of a fitness watch, but will not buy this brand again.

I ordered a new phone today,  because customer service led me to believe my two yr old Samsung was the problem... hmmmm,  I get out of work and see this.. Interesting,  thanks for wasting my hrs of time and more money.  When you could just say, hold on for a few days were trying to fox a problem on our end. With that said, any sort of timeline?

Same problem.  I keep getting a push notification to "pair and link" to Bluetooth, but phone and fitbit won't link.  Any help would be much appreciated!

I gave up on Fitbit back in early 2019 after my Blaze stopped working after only 4 months and all they would give me is a discount on a new product. I've just recieved my Charge 4 today and this has already given me problems. I hope this is a quick fix or I'll be sending this one back and going to a different company.

This problem (which I've only seen as this post) is becoming MAJOR for me because I've disconnected my Ionic from my account (due to not syncing since FIRMWARE UPDATE on 27/01/2021), but now the device won't connect back onto the account!!!!!

So I've attempted a factory reset and still it will not connect to the account!!

Device also comes up with “Data not cleared. Sync and try again”

so I've attempted these steps https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Data-not-cleared-Sync-amp-try-again/m-p/2473258/highlight/true

  1. Delete the Fitbit Ionic in the Fitbit app [I deleted the Fitbit app]
  2. Remove the Ionic in the bluetooth profile (Your phone bluetooth setting page) - [I rebooted my phone after this step]
  3. [I then installed the Fitbit app]
  4. In the Fitbit app pair the Ionic again
  5. If there is no connection, press all three buttons on the Ionic restart the Ionic

But this did not work either...

and still “Data not cleared. Sync and try again”
