Fitbit Update: 1/29

Hey, everyone! I wanted to announce that Android app version: 2.65.1 has been fully released. If you haven't already, please update the app! This should help with syncing and also contains some improvements for those of you on Android 8.0 (Oreo).

If you are on Android 8.0 (Oreo), please check out this help article with more information about the Notifications you are receiving from the app. Please let me know if this changes anything for you all. Our team is always at work to improve the Fitbit experience on Android. Thanks for your cooperation!

Fitbit Update: 1/22

Hi, Android users! Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate.

If you continue to have difficulty syncing, please use an alternate device if available. I will provide any future updates here, so please stay tuned.

Fitbit Update: 1/19

Hi Android Users - Our team is aware that some Android users on Android 8.0 Oreo may be experiencing syncing issues since the Fitbit app 2.64 update.

Our Android Team is actively working on a fix and hope to have it resolved shortly. In the meantime, I recommend syncing to an alternative supported device or computer if possible. Instead of wasting valuable time and effort by seeking to censoring people by "moderating" deleting posts that show Fitbit in a negative light - as you don't need our help to do that anyway it would seem - why don't Fitbit's Moderators apply pressure to your company to ..... errr ....... fix this problem?

Or is PR control more important than ensuring your users have working devices?

Fitbit aknowledges problems with the newest version of android but is in
denial for the syncing problems with other versions....They offer a
solution that is cumbersome and only works once or -if you are lucky- a few
times a day, never on the moment when you want to sync the tracker. Very
sad. Al these posts about syncing problems are showing many thousands of
readers. Surely this must tell the company something. Reputations are being
lost here!

I would like an update to this syncing issue from Fitbit. Every single day I get sync error. Can yo please fix the issue and release a update. App version 2.63 worked just fine for my android LG V30. Can you please let use keep the version that works until you actually fix the issue.

When will the club have its first meeting?😝😝😝😝. Still waiting for the fix. Their new one to me on the phone chat was your phone is not compatible.  Well it was until it stop syncing a few days ago. Compatibly just disappeared after many months. Wow what an answer from customer support.

The vagaries of this issue befuddles the mind.. I switched my phone on this morning and it synced before my eyes... Checked the browser on the PC and it had the steps and a few seconds later the sleep graph and the RHR was calculated . I find that can be delayed by a few minutes.

So my final test was to create my sleeping HR activity record on the phone, logged it, and I refreshed the PC browser and the Activity record was there.. less than 30 seconds.

The hit and miss of this issue truly defies me...

I have had a slight change from Support because I have logged my issues with screen shots to attempt to get definitions and sequencing of the syncing process. I stressed that the last Sony phone on their list was 2013 and I have had success with my non listed 2016 (non tested phone) on my multi Fitbit syncing (5 Fitbits).. I tackled it this way because I didn't want to get an escapism reply like "Your phone isn't in the list etc".

The reply was, "We're pleased to know that you're able to sync both trackers and the same Android phone works perfectly on all of your Fitbit devices".

Also I'm still waiting for 2.65... Google store update 11 other Apps a few minutes ago..including the Google Downloader..

For those interested here is the graph I received on my PC Dashboard in the blink of an eye from the phone.

The FAFU club meeting could be a little problematic in respect as to venue. Would the O2 arena be big enough?

@staciemaThe error you see is one of my screen shots.. I want to know what it means, and at what stage of the syncing process it occurs.. That was in my support email..

Thank You!! I just did what you suggested using the link you posted. Phone syncing now. Fingers crossed hoping it keeps working. I am not very good at all this tech stuff but I took a deep breath and did it. Success😍.

Since my post earlier today and just to confuse everyone..Smiley Happy ...... every time I open the Fitbit App it syncs before my eyes.. That's been going on for 4 hours..  Even the Notifications appear on my phone and Iconic at the same time and I need to wait for my PC mail to update..

I have only downloaded 11 Android App updates during that time via WiFi Smiley Frustrated...... Still no V2.65 to try that... I will wait for the Google Store because I don't want to delete the current App and use the apk mirror.  Too many issues last time getting everything to work.
