My fitbit app wouldn't work with my new Samsung Galaxy S7 (Marshmellow) due to syncing issues. I just reset my fitbit (plug it into laptop/wall charger and hold button on left side for approx 10seconds until fitbit symbol appears, then unplug it). App worked instantly! 🙂

Same for me.
I've 2 phones:
- Galaxy s6
- Galaxy s7
Both has difficulty to sync, it takes a long time to do it, mostly need to restart the syncing a few times before it's done. Also the updates are a bit weird, it could take a while before you see your data has been updates.
Before the s7 I used iphone 5, that one worked without any problems, it takedabout 5 sec.
I don't know why galaxy/android has to be a disaster like this?
Are there other ways to configurate bluetooth to sync with Fitbit?
I don't want bluetooth to stay turned on on my phone for 2 reasons:
- healthy
- battery

Será Alejandra,
Now we are at 31st of August 2017 (you response the comunity was in 2016) and Samsung released a S8 model. Is the S7 compatible or not with Fitbit? If it is not is there a date when we, Fitbit Clients, could expect it to be compatible?
I will appreciate your response for clarity sake.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Daniel

I just upgraded to a Samsung S7 last week and have been having syncing issues. Then I find this thread this week. All I can is Really? It's not like I bought a Kyocera or HTC phone, it's a flippin' SAMSUNG. One of the most popular brands of phone in the world and my Fitbit isn't compatible? That's sad. Especially so when it worked fine on my old S5. You support one S-series but not the other? Ridiculous.

Just bought a Charge 2 to replace my miband 2 (which works but is a bit scratched etc) as I thought fitbit was the premium in sports tracking, except it would not sync, once you enter the bluetooth code it does not want to do anything else with my galaxy s7.
I am astonished that fitbit dont support one of the most popular phones ever made.
Its embarrassing to read through this thread and to see how long fitbits lack of willing or ability to fix this issue.
I now regret buying and thinking this was a premium app/ tracker, I will now sell the trash as its of no use to me and look at your competitors for a fitness tracker that works.

Just an update, seems I had received a faulty charge 2 which seems to also be a very common issue when googled, either a software or just poor components/ manufacturing issue.
I got a replacement after 2 weeks and I now have no issue's syncing my info with my S7 and fitbit app but the email and call notifications does not work but that's a minor gripe and can live without.
Love my charge 2 and the fitbit app but still left very frustrated by the all experience as you would think with the costs involved for a charge 2 and what they really make in profit per unit which at a guess is over £100 they would be well tested with good quality components with very few issues.
But as I said a quick google and you can see this all too common.

I have always had a Galaxy, first an S3, then S5, now S7. I have had a Few that I have worn every day for several years now. I recently lost it and my hubby bought me a Flex 2. It pairs with my phone but the Fitbit app says that it requires an update which it won't do until it talks to my Flex 2. I continually get a screen stating that that the update failed. I have tried on my phone and my Galaxy Tab. And nothing. Samsung doesn't care because they have their own tracker in the market but why doesn't Fitbit care? This thread has been going for 2 years!

Do you mean to say that if I have a Galaxy S7, I can not use the new device I just paid for...?
