Fitbit Update: 9/12/19
Hey all!
We're still investigating and working on a fix for this text notification issue on Android.
In addition to not receiving the correct text notification, we're now aware this is also affecting call notifications. Some of you may only see a previous caller's name and not the person actually calling you at the time you're receiving the notification.
When we have more information for a fix, we'll announce it here in this thread. Please stay tuned for updates!

Hi everyone.
We're aware of these issues with receiving only the sender's name from your text messages. This appears to have started with the Fitbit for Android app version 3.0. If you're experiencing this yourself with your Fitbit device, please know we're working on a fix.
While our team investigates this further, we just ask for your patience. Once I have information for a fix, I'll make an announcement here on this thread.

I was having the same issue with my Fitbit charge 2 and my Google pixel 2. I downgraded to the 2.95 version. It works perfectly fine for me. Just make sure to make it to where Fitbit can't automatically update the app.
We'll, back to 2.95. Version 3.5, on Google Play, didn't fix this issue. In fact, now it doesn't even show the sender 😠.
Did the usual things we've all been doing. Install, reinstall, check permission settings, reboot phone & device, yada, yada...
Pixel 2, Charge 2, Android 10 (2.95 is working with Android 10).
I am having the same issue on my Galaxy S10. It was working fine before the update. I think it's been about a month or two really since I've seen the message content. Also, it was showing the wrong caller ID. It was happening to my Mom's fitbit alta but when I uninstalled and reinstalled the app it seemed to fix for her? I am still having issues though. I just pre-ordered a versa 2 but now I am worried that it will have this same problem...
I still can't get my notifications after setting this up. I have the fitbit versa lite and samsung 9. Any ideas?
Best Answer@Sherryv123 Not sure if it works for Versa- there might be another app that's compatible. I just ordered the new versa so I hope a real fix comes out before then...
Best AnswerFit Notifications is working for me, too, and I might keep using it even if Fitbit fix their app.
@AlessFitbit Any update???? It's been a month since your last update. Why is it taking so long? I'm running out of the patience you've asked of me. I've had several version updates since the initial problem, but it still isn't working!
Charge 2. Note 8. Was not working yesterday. Only showed sender. Then out of no where today I received a message and it worked. So I assume it was from the latest update?
Best AnswerI noticed Google messages updated yesterday for me. I wonder if this would have anything to do with some issues being resolved now? I'm still hesitant to upgrade from 2.95 until I heard more though.
