Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
Sorry to say that the new design, like the new graphs before it, is a horror show. I can only assume Fitbit is targeting smartwatch users alone. Unfortunately I am not one of them. Utterly disappointed. Hello Garmin!
You got that right CBarker. The new update sucks. Less functionality. I don't care how flashy it is, I'm entirely disappointed. Then my Fitbit app brings me to the page trying to sell me the new Fitbit 6 coming out soon. Yes, Google has got me sold, that is, to buy a different watch other than a FitBit. Good job (extreme sarcasm) Google.

I much perfered when it showed the % when you sync
With the new app I only know when the Tracker battery was low was when I got the email to tell me it was low
According the Fitbit yesterday "NO"
Couldn't be more right! I completely agree! Just don't understand why any of this was necessary. Admittedly, I'm resistant to change lol but objectively, this is garbage!
First impressions:
I have a large phone (Pixel 6 Pro), and now I can see even less data at a quick glance of the app than before. Even your screenshots only how the 4 big metrics and only the first line below. On the old version, I had 5 big metrics at the top and could see a number of lines below. I get that everything can't fit without scrolling, but surely we can show more -- at least how much I was seeing before.
Current heart rate -- The app is showing the daily range more often than the current, even during/after a sync. The old app showed it a lot more often. Sometimes this is fixed by exiting the app and reopening, but that's a workaround and not a solution.
Yes, lots of wasted space. Someone didn't run this by UX folks, I daresay.
We know Google is chaos but it's sad to see that leach into a previously pretty decent subsidiary.
Many times I get bogus AZMs. Previously, I could delete those by a specific time. I called a customer representative and found out you can no longer delete a specific activity and it's AZMs. If you want to delete, you must delete the entire day's exercise and activity. Well, the AZMs are going to be skewed so I won't have an accurate weekly etc count. That won't work! Could we please get that corrected! Thank you!
Not happy at all with new layout. And I haven't been able to sync it with my fitbit. I've uninstalled, and still can't get it to work. I want to go back to previous layout, this one is poorly designed. We should have the option to switch. Very unhappy, don't see how this is an improvement.
The update is awful. I have certain things I want to see and there is no way to do that. I had 5 things showing in the main area - I figured out how to customize this area but it only allows 4. There is no way to move the stats underneath the main area to the order I use. I hate this update and will absolutely looking at other brands - have heard good things about Garmin.
