Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

I, too, hate this update sooo much!! Where did the max heart rate option go?! I often use that to tell how hard I've pushed myself!! 

The part that frustrated me most was that I didn't even get an option to update!! I loaded it after kickboxing tonight, and Boom! Everything was different 😤

Yes. That was a very useful option!  As an ex-developer, you can expect some pushback when you make such a drastic change to an interface. But you always leave the option to rollback to a previous version. The fact that they don't allow us to choose which we prefer,  is **ahem**ed.  And their way if saying,  tough **ahem**. I don't like it. 

I know! No option. No notification. And FitBit acts like they did us a
favor. For me, it was first thing this morning, when I checked my sleep
stats. My gf heard me cursing out in the kitchen lol I was like...what the
**ahem** is this?!

The updated app is awful. Anyone who knows anything about design and visual intake will let you know how bad the layout and design it. Please revert back to the former app dashboard, which was far easier to read and navigate.

Hi @Msolis  there is no way to change it back to the previous app. Fitbit doesn't have to get our permission to change things. See Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

Yeah, I know how it works. This was a post for me to tell them that the new interface sucks and you lost a customer. 

Terms of service... JFC. Super helpful, thanks. I don't give a f*ck about the terms of service, I give a f*ck about a product I'm interested in using. That's how customers work.

The new app display is horrible. Can I reset? And it still doesn't solve for us users wanting the challenges back. 

Let alone summer if us are past menstrual bs and the should be add in functions not auto added to reach user. Very condescending to women.

Cool. Just so you know, posting the terms of service as if yo say they can do whatever they want is kind of an obnoxious read of my post. I assume you were just trying to answer the specific question and are probably a nice person. But that was basically a rhetorical question. I know how apps work, I am a developer.

 

And I'm super pissed that this app that I am paying $80 per year for and is connected to multiple devices now has an absolutely asinine interface that keeps getting worse and new hardware keeps losing basic features that used to be there are wouldn't even cost any significant development time.

So @LizzyFitbit 's notification just HAVE to be blowing up by now. Can you take this thread back to Google and let them read ALL of our feedback? So they can fix everything they messed with? Please dont feedback form us.

No,  this doesn't help at all. Individual item need to be movable as they were previously - I can't see the things that are important to me.  Additionally, I had 5 items in the main frame previously and now, even with the customizable card,  I can't have 5.

This update is abominable and has me shopping for an alternative to my Fitbit. I've been loyal to Fitbit since 2015 but this is the last straw. There has to be a way to undo this.

When I tried to cancel my premium subscription I was told to tap on my picture in the upper left corner of the app and that would get me to my account. I had to let support know that the icon doesn't exist in the new interface. The employees don't even know what the new interface is.

FIRE the product manager or designer.  The new look is awful. Tracking week-by-week total steps used to be easy using the scroll bar.  Now it's almost impossible.  The new product is a pile of crap. I've been a fitbit fanatic since 2014. I'm switching to Apple watch this weekend.  Very sad that fitbit screwed up a great product.

I am so agree!! The new update app looks absolutely ugly and more primitive!! I hate it! Next time i'll buy not fitbit. So many ppl work to create that basic look! We're not living in 90th. Go and see how chinese apps look if you dont have any ideas. Totally disappointed!

I appreciate the effort. But it missed the mark. Not visually impressive a step backwards in display. The targeted feature update is unnecessary and actually is limiting in my experience. I can’t figure out how to change it and hate the look. I want the old look back.

I rarely write reviews, however, this update is so surprisingly terrible that I hope to be one of many voices to influence either going back to the former version or making some very dramatic changes very soon. Unfortunately I don't even know where to begin to give constructive feedback. I simply can't find a single redeeming feature from any of the changes.
