Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

I find the new Android app a HUGH step in the wrong direction. It solves no problems I had, makes doing basic things harder and seems to be, at the core, change for change sake.
Please continue support of the OLD app and make reverting easy.

Not a fan. Need to scroll down way too much. Colour is bland. As if you want to reuse the old App as the premium app, while giving the free users a child like version? Couldn’t afford colour in the new app? Can’t believe you tested this on long time Fitbit users. It is so bad, I am thinking about other options. Been a user for 10 yrs plus. Talk about a major error. Come on Fitbit management, recognise the error and take a step back to the older version!

Nothing has been done to this interface that is an improvement. The amount of wasted screen space is absurd. Who needs all those headings?
There is no indicator of current heart rate zone? The battery indicator is less useful. The edit feature does not allow one to sequence things in preferred order, and one is forced to display things they don’t want in order to get what they do.
The update is garbage and your cheerleading won’t change that.

Got the update yesterday. I can no longer edit the name of my workout. Will that ability be returning?

I saw an update had come through and I was excited...until I got it set up and started looking through things...
The color scheme and layout is awful, and I couldn't find any options for different color schemes. Mostly I echo what a lot of other users have already posted.
Yes, the app needed some updates, but this was NOT it. Guess I'm hunting for a new option 😕

I hate the new update. Its awful. Everything used to be so concise and now its horrible. Cant see your battery percentage in the corner. What was the point. Luckily once you click on it thw stuff behind it is the same. Shame we cant choose what home screen we want to see. Its awful

The reinstall didn't get me back to the home screen I hoped for. It did however get rid of what I was seeing on my Google Pixel 6. It had gone to a terribly generic screen with nothing but black text on white with no icons. I had to scroll and scroll down and it seemed to add many clicks to get anywhere. Thank you. I'm going to go play with it now, hoping I can figure out how to sync and see battery percentage. Change is always difficult for me but your suggestion certainly helped. I'm wondering if auto update will show improvements or whether it will continue to get worse (in my opinion😉).

***RESOLVED***
Anyone find out where to download the Premium Wellness Report in the new app? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find it.
Thanks to @LZeeW who posted the answer in this post.

Horrendous, new look is very clunky and old fashioned and colours are too similar. And can anyone PLEASE tell me how to permanently get rid of the new notification that says 'mobiletrack not tracking steps' I don't know what it means but it's been there since 6am this morning and I cannot get rid of it!!

Ditto here. I've spent hours trying to find where it's buried.

I had the horrible screen that sounds like what you are seeing. No icons, needing extra clicks into fields to get anywhere... Another commenter said to uninstall and reinstall the app which has improved it for me on my Google Pixel 6 with a charge 4. I still like the previous version better. I finally found info on how to sync but I still don't see battery level. Back to searching for that. It was so helpful on the home screen.

How do I get the previous version back as I’m really not liking the updated one.
I tried this with my Fitbit luxe and no luck and want the old version back

How do you do that please? I'm still searching for battery amount.

I quite agree. Charge 4 user here. The original Android app, in about 2021, that I had was adequate. An update came along which was tolerable but this latest one, as has been said, is simply change for change sake. I respect your right to make changes as you see fit (no pun intended) but please make it easy for users like me to try it if we want to and be able to easily REVERT to an earlier version.
I use my FitBit as a tool to enhance my health goals and as a product it is good. But the app changes are, for me and maybe for other users, an unnecessary inconvenience in having to locate where the information is now sequestered. Please allow for reversion to an earlier version. Perhaps a repository of earlier versions that may be easily accessed, if not a "click here to opt out of this (latest) update" button.
Thanks for listening.
Kind regards,
Denis

This is the WORST update ever - hideous colours, heavy and bland - what has possessed fitbit design team! 😕

I agree. I am not enjoying it.
It's terrible now. I don't feel it is 'me'...and yes, it only shows 'battery full' not the percentage, which in my case was 88% (after lots of scrolling to find it). It was not full. It's so generic now, not personal.
I totally agree! NOT user friendly for me.
