I am unable to search or scan food items to log them in my fitbit app. I have already force stopped the app and restarted with no resolve. Foods in my recent and frequent lists appear but I'm unable to search for anything new.

I, too, cannot search and add foods. When I try to, it shows an option to add a custom food with my search term. I have access to frequent, recent, and custom foods but can’t add anything new. This started happening around 6:30pm EST for me on 11/6/25. I thought the app needed an update (mine did for bug fixes) but the update didn’t solve the issue.

Same, it just stopped working last night. No results, at one point I got a network connection error message, but that was it. I have tried on multiple wifis and mobile connection, nothing working

Lol this wasn't caused by an app update (last update was October 25). Why would an app update be needed to fix it? This is clearly a server issue, not an app issue.

My food database is no longer displaying on app as of last night. Have an iPhone. Will only allow me to input custom food!
Getting a message in settings stating United States food database is not currently available. What is going on?

I just tried again everything you suggested and same result. It doesn't work. Since yesterday around 5:30 pm, on my Pixel 6a LG Velvet and mi Pixel Tablet. All my systems are updated. So it seems, like everybody else, Google continue to destroy Fitbit who used to a great app... But not anymore.

I’m having the same issue. Server not working properly. Not app issue. It is working fine from recent and frequent list. Except frequent food is inaccurate.

Wow!!! Same here! I have done absolutely everything that was suggested to me in fact it really screwed up my app and I had to keep going in and changing everything. When I go to login food, I can only use stuff that’s already in frequent or recent when I tried to type something new and it goes to custom, which gets me absolutely nowhere because it freezes.

I'm having the same issue only can enter Food into my log that is in my recent list, and actually only from the last two days. It's frustrating because I watch my calorie count and protein. This needs to be resolved. I'm still trying to justify buying a new Fitbit when my Luxe decides to stop. I thought maybe it's cause I didn't convert over to Google yet.

Called to report problem. Missing Food Database N/A.
Tested on multiple Android devices with fresh install and multiple other troubleshooting attempts, still N/A.
Fitbit Rep Response after consulting with Supervisor: "This is an issue on the application ...this issue has be escalated ...this will fix it ...wait for new version 4.56 ...rollout Friday." (clarified which Friday?) "Next Friday."
