I am unable to search or scan food items to log them in my fitbit app. I have already force stopped the app and restarted with no resolve. Foods in my recent and frequent lists appear but I'm unable to search for anything new.

I have done all this. There appears to be an issue. Please investigate and fix. Thanks

Have done all these steps and still no success trying to log food items in the Fitbit app. Appears to be since I did the Apple IOS app update this morning.

Same issues, search shows blank, barcode scan button has vanished and I can't add custom food. Tried logging out, clearing cache, force stop and restart but it hasn't helped. I know food loggers are very complex apps but surely a company with Googles resources should be able to design one that works? Its not as if they don't monetise all the data they scrape from fitbit users.....

Thanks Alex. An acknowledgement by FB would be the least they could do. Still not working here, UK time.

I, also, have lost my food database search.

Having same exact issue. I tried the steps but did not work. Also tried it on my tablet where the app was not installed and it still didn't bring up the food log search. I couldn't even add custom ones. Started last night around 6pm EST but I can't remember if earlier at 12:30 EST when I had lunch as I already pre-logged it as it worked in the morning with no problems and even scanned in new things.

@ManuFitbit this does not resolve the issue. I've tried all of these steps and the food search still is not working.
It seems this is a much wider spread issue than I even initially thought. My thread here is filled with comments of people experiencing the same exact issue and I see at least 2 other separate threads on exactly this.
I appreciate your help but this is extremely frustrating. I've barely had my Fitbit for a month. How does Fitbit actually expect me to pay for the $80 premium subscription when in this short time the food log has stopped working, notifications on the device stopped working, sleep tracking functionality has been poor with the trackers only functioning when it seems like they want to.
Food logging is the ENTIRE reason I purchased this device, to help with weight loss. I'm very disenchanted with my Fitbit experience.

Perhaps we also shouldn't mark threads as Answered until we've confirmed that the provided steps actually resolves the issue? It has not.

No user can solve the issue (maybe server down problem or other technical stuff). Programmers have to fix it

Hello all,
I've been tracking good intake with the Android Fitbit App for about three weeks now. Everything worked great until yesterday. Suddenly entering anything in the search bar turns up zero results. I can see recent meals listed but nothing shows up as a match. Help?
I have tried:
- restarting App/phone
-signing out / back in
- uninstalling app/reinstalling
-clearing cache / app data
Can't think of what else to try, getting very frustrated.
