Food database gone?

ANSWERED

Tried logging food today and my barcode scanner is gone and when I try to search for food, nothing happens. Reinstalled software, factory reset on Versa 2, rebooted phone,  nothing. Tried to select a food day and it says n/a with no other options.  Worked fine last week. Help. I'm going crazy and want to throw the phone out the window.

Forgot to mention I ever tried on an iPhone and no luck

I am in the USA and having the same issue. I also have the Versa 2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. I have rebooted my phone each time I did this before reinstalling. I have removed the food tile and added it back. Nothing works. My guess is after the latest update something went wrong (my app says it updated 16 hours ago and worked for me fine until about an hour ago then the database disappeared). I also went into the Today tab, clicked my profile pic in the top right, went to Fitbit settings, then down to Nutrition and Weight, then to Food database at the bottom and I see text that says "A food database for United States is not currently available. You can still create your own custom foods to log and track what you eat. " There must be some issue. Maybe the server that stores the database is down? I have no idea. It's very annoying because they don't publish information letting people know it's an issue you just have to guess what's wrong.

Sorry correction, I have a Sense 2 not a Versa 2.

I have an iPhone 12.

It seems to be an backend problem and NOT an frontend app/ mobile phone issue. I installed an older version of fitbit Android app and it remains as it was. The same with iOS. Food data base does not work and the barcode scanner is still not there... It's up to Fitbit to fix it.

Many thanks in advance for your efforts 🙂

Same. This started sometime on 11/6/25 after 1:00pm ET. Reinstalled app, reboot, switched signals, etc. Its all not working. The only option for database is "N/A". Need Fitbit team to hotpatch this.

I did all that and nothing happened. It’s gone into the ether. So what did you guys update and forgot to connect the food database? Because it ain’t the community.
