Versa compatibility with Samsung Galaxy S9

Any ideas when the S9 will be an option for the Versa?  Specifically looking at texts, etc. notifications on the Versa.

Sorry can’t help you there but I will tell you that when I called Samsung support with the problem I had getting call and text notifications with my old Charge 2 and my new Samsung S9, Samsung told me that all Fitbit products are not compatible with Samsung S9. They were wrong. My new Versa works great with my S9

Your best bet is to call Fitbit tech help. That’s what I did and they walked me right through it

Its 16 June 2019, I have a Samsung S8 and a Samsung 9+ galaxy phones and Versa still doesn't send SMS texts or anything other than gmail on either phone.  Called Fitbit and tried everything and i think we even reinvented the wheel and still, it will just not work. Epic fail Fitbit!

It's really unfortunate because I really like the Versa but Fitbit forced me to go buy a Samsung Frontier S3 smartwatch and I love it. Guess Fitbit must have a ton of $$ in the bank to be sending customers to Samsung.

Anyway like I said I tried everything to no avail. If any Android Samsung S8 and or S9+ user managed to get Versa to work,  I want to hear from you!

Hi, 

Your S9 and Versa works in that Versa gets BT pushes or notifications from gmail and SMS test messaging and calendar actually get displayed on the Versa??

If yes, what version is your Android OS?

If it doesn't receive SMS text then are you using WhatsApp instead of SMS? Everyone knows WhatsApp works, but its SMS that the planet is saying doesn't.  Just want to be sure you are saying what everyone wants to know, SMS not WhatsApp or Messanger from Facelessbook.

SMS texts is the million dollar question,  seems no one on the planet can get Versa to send SMS texts to IMO any Android device. Epic fail for Fitbit.

Me either, and I tried everythingto no avail so I gave up. But let's be clear I am talking about SMS texts not WhatsApp or Messenger,  I dont use those two apps.

I called Fitbit support and we reinvented android and versa and still could not get it work. I gave up on Fitbit, bought Samsung Frontier and was up and running in 5 minutes flat, no hockie pokie tweaking everything.

We are talking about ANDROID here = SMS Text Messaging

Seems Fitbit has a huge Android issue and it just doesn't work. That's fine but on their web sites it should indicate that to stop Android users from wasting their time on the Fitbit product and pay the extra few bucks and buy the Samsung Galaxy Class smartwatches. They work straight out of the box, 10 min and you are in business.

To everyone who's experiencing text notifications concern, I'd like to first appreciate your efforts and patience with this situation. If you haven't already done so, I recommend checking our help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes. Also, please specify if only text notifications are not being received or if the same is being experienced with phone call notifications as well.
