Wrong height shown in app

I went in the app to update my weight today, and I noticed the app stated my height was "5 ft 0 in" even though I'm actually 6'0"

I went to update the height to 6 ft, but every time I saved it went back to 5 ft. As a test, I entered 5 ft and saved, but then it saved as 4 ft. Lastly, I entered 7 ft, and then it saved as 6 ft. I thought this was now correct, since it was displaying 6 ft.

However, I then logged on to the website to report this issue, and I noticed I could look at my account online. My online profile was now showing 7 ft, even though the app was showing 6 ft.

I updated my profile on the web to the correct 6 ft, and now it is showing as 5 ft in the app again.

How can I get both the app and web to be correct, if the app seems to keep taking a foot off?

Hello @rkubes, certainly this is not a normal behavior, but I've seen this issue before. So My recommendation would be to reset the data on your Fitbit app. For this please try the steps recommended in my following post, this might address this issue you are experiencing.

Hope this helps and keep me posted how it goes.

I have the same problem - data clear and phone restart hasn't worked for me. Any other suggestions?

Same issue. Clearing cache and restart doesn't resolve.

Hi there @rkubes and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @Jc33 and @NormanBone. Certainly is not a normal behavior and I would like to ask some screenshots of the issue to gather more information and have a closer look of the problem.

In the meantime I would recommend to sync your trackers and uninstall and reinstall the app.

Keep me posted. I'll keep an eye on this issue.

Here is screen shot before hitting save - to correct 5ft to 6ft, and after having overwritten the 5 with 6 to no effect

I am experiencing the same issue.  I set 6 ft height in web profile and the App now shows 5 ft.  The same happens vice versa.  There is a bug in the software wherein it keeps offsetting by 1 foot.

Hello @Jc33 and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @44060. I offer you an apology since I'm been a bit absent from this thread, although I been gathering more details of the issue.

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and this is a glitch found on this portion of the app. Rest assure our teams are aware already and they are working to roll a fix in the future.

This issue has been isolated to the app only and it happens when the inches field on your height settings is left in blank or with a zero value. A potential workaround for the time being is to increase the inches field by 1 to avoid the issue.

Stay tuned to the Fitbit Community for more updates. Thank you for all your patience.
