Today 07082019, I noticed my BIM not displaying on my aria 2 .I waited and waited and it never synched my data to iphone. I have done the followings:
1. Reset of Aria
2. Took the batteries out

Count one more Aria 2 that isn't connecting. Just this morning same as the rest. I tried deleting and adding the scale back on. My firmware reads 23.27.2.0 Other than the noted error,it seems to work fine except it isn't picking up my Custom icon. It only shows the apple.

I am also having the same issue. Could there be an issue with the Fitbit app?

I am also having the same issue. Reconnected the wi-fi 3 times by following the directions, but no joy!

Add me to the list. Connection Error.....again. I find this Aria2 disconnects more than it is worth.

I was really excited to finally get my Aria 2 to sync with Fitbit. However, when I installed it I followed the directions and connect to the wifi successfully. Yet, when I weighed myself it says "connection error" and will not sync. It then goes to sleep. I have taken out the batteries, reset the device, reinstalled the app, and tried it right next to my router. Nothing seems to be working and I am getting so frustrated. Please help!

@caendlich A number of us are experiencing the same problem. The issue has been flagged to get a higher level of attention.

Weighed myself this morning and at the end, got a Connection Error message.
Reconnected Wifi, same message.
Pulled batteries out, reconnected Wifi, same message.
Unplugged modem, pulled batteries out, reconnected Wifi, same message.
Are the Aria 2 scales faulty? Has Fitbit lost the plot with a random software update?
Zero issues until today!

Did Fitbit push an update or something to the scales that might have caused this? Mine has been working fine for a year. Now all of a sudden mid-day it stopped working and I'm getting "Connection Error". Tried resetting multiple times, re-adding it through the app, and restarting my router. Nothing has worked.

My last successful sync was 10:56am EST and then the problem seemed to start this afternoon showing "Connection Error". My firmware on app shows as 23.27.2.0
I tried doing multiple resets and new setups before I found this thread. Restarted my router twice as well.

Same here... it has to be a faulty update or something for so many of us to have a sudden problem.

I am having the same issue. The very "helpful" person at FitBit support told me to try resetting it 2 more times (I'd already tried twice) Apparently, she felt 4 is the magic number. It is not. When I asked her what else I could do, she said, and I quote "Try again tomorrow." I think they connected me to a Magic 8 Ball, not a customer service rep.

Call them and get a case number for Aria 2 connection issues. It's happening worldwide.

Or else just wait. If they know of the issue, not sure it helps anything to overwhelm support with separate cases.

@JamesD7 I am not sure. I just purchased mine and I can't get it to work.

So I've seen multiple threads on this, and I'm tired of the default bot answer of "make sure you're following the setup directions". This is a scale that I simply changed the batteries in, and knowing won't connect with the app.
I add the new batteries and simply get that its connect to my wifi, but the app to connect can't find it. Any ideas?
