My aria scale will not sync with app. It was syncing everyday with no issues and then I realized it wasn’t changing on the app about a week later. It says it’s connected to the network and displays everything, the line spins like its transmitting but the arrows? Aren’t turning and then at the the bottom of the display the WiFi lines come up with an x over them. Nothing has changed. It’s been about 20 days since the last sync.

Delete and reinstall the app - that worked for me...

To everyone who is a guest on your fitbit aria. Try to open the app, and choose the aria, choose resent weight ins.
Press your name and choose your name or if you want to be a guest.

What if 802.11 b/g/n isn't an option for me? I see only 802.11 g/n

Not surprised to see such an active thread. If only my Aria would be as well!
Made the fateful mistake of replacing my router. All other devices such as laptops, tablets and printers were easy to reconnect. All sorted in 30 minutes! But the Aria... oh no! I've had this experience in the past as others seem to have had so it's a Fitbit issue and not a user issue.
I've run through the setup cycle so many times on my phone that it's driving me crazy. I even got as far as my phone finding the Aria wi-fi. Can I connect to it? Oh no! All I get is "the internet may not be available." All the other devices in the house are just fine so my wifi is working.
Once upon a time a long time ago I was in the same position and one of the Fitbit chat line folk suggested deleting any user profiles, which I did at the time through settings. I was then able to start again from scratch and connect. I can't find out how to do this now from Dashboard > settings. Any ideas?
I've been on the chat thing and on the phone for the best part of the last three days but I've not cracked it. The last guy resorted to saying my Aria was out of warranty so must be broken. It's not. It just won't sync.
I've got the correct 2.4 GHz 802.11b WPS wifi protocol so that's OK
Any rouses, strategies, suggestions, workarounds etc. would be gratefully received!

And now mine is not syncing, not happy, nothing has changed, just 5 days ago it decided to give me the same weight every day which is not helpful. Wish I'd just bought an ordinary digital scale not paid a fortune for this.

Happy to reply but I can't offer an "all you have to do is...." solution.
Being a stubborn sort of person, I just kept checking through anything that might potentially be giving me problems such as my own wi-fi, the Aria software, batteries, my phone etc. I kept running through the setup procedure and getting crosser and crosser!
As if my FitBit had chosen to punish me for gaining weight it refused to sink for a week to ten days and then, magically, synced. I did nothing more than repeatedly working through the setup and eventually, it came good, with my phone picking up the correct wi-fi.
I dread having to change anything relating to my wi-fi as I know it will get my Aria in a bad mood. It is uniquely the most troublesome of all my wi-fi devices and FitBit should pay a little more heed to users issues.
Some of their support staff do their level best to help but others just stick to the company script and dump you when they get to the end of it. Try and get to speak to someone on the phone and be persistent if things don't go right the first time.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the pointers. I decided to try the simplest fix I had read about I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and miraculously it started working again. I had even lost 1.2 lbs too so all is harmonious again.
Wont be too happy if this is a regular event we live in very rural Norfolk and don't have broadband so have to pay through the nose for data via satellite so not amused about having to download apps more than once.
Happy days

So I had a Aria scale about 3 years ago and it was fine, but then it got physically damaged and I bought a faulty second hand one after that which I made work for a bit, but bottom line is I have not bothered for a couple of years with any scales. I decided it’s time to take it seriously again and I found the scales really helpful last time, so I have bought a set from eBay that were said to be hardly used and in good condition.
Tonight I have spent about 4 hours trying to make them work. Most of the time they connect to WiFi and then give me a NO SYNC error. I have tried a couple of different WiFi base stations, and my phone as a hot spot, all the same results, I have also tried open networks, as well as passworded ones.
wht I found interesting is if I do the hardware reset with the pin, it shows as version 37, then I try and connect and if I remove the batteries at the NO SYNC message, then put them back in, it connects to the WiFi and upgrades to Version 39. It then thinks everything is ok, and even gives the tick after weighing and sending the data but it goes no where near my account.
taking the batteries out and putting them back in gives the tap to change WiFi message, which I do and then I go back the the NO SYNC error again.
I think I have read up on lots of threads and lots of solutions but nothing works.
I have since read in another thread about needing to remove the scales from the account, and this then working for people. So I have spoken to the eBay seller who has removed them from his account, but sadly I still get the NO SYNC error.
I have tried setting up a completely separate wifi router as well, with just 802.11b enabled and all other settings off, still with the same results.

Best solution for all. Pick all ur Fitbit devices and throw them in thrash. Advice everyone not to buy any new stuff from Fitbit.

Does it synch with the fitbit dashboard?

It syncs with Apple Heath, which is what I wanted I used to use my fitness pal as a bridge, so bonus now is I don’t even have to do that.

I already did this with my step counters (after several failed attempts at syncing with brand new phones and brand new Fitbit devices I gave up and now use a MiFit that cost a grand total of $40) and am about to do the same with the scale.
Trash it and get a plain old digital scale.

This fix doesn’t work for me. Bizarrely getting this problem after years of trouble free use. No idea how to get them syncing again, and tried everything.
While trying to reconnect to my network…I get the no sync error meaning I cannot connect.
Useless. Guess FITBIT are trying to make me buy more stuff and pollute more by chucking this out.

My scale has not synced since 2016 - so I thought I'd try again today. OMGoodness! What a worthless option. I went through the process repeatedly and finally gave up. My computer is my primary (home office) computer, and my system is monitored by an IT company and I don't mess with any system settings. DON'T BUY THIS SCALE! In today's technology - we are accustomed to 'plug-and-play functionality! This is just an over-priced DUMB scale.
If your Router user name is 'admin' and your password is 'password' - CHANGE THEM BOTH ~ ASAP!

I’ve been having sync issues for about 2 yrs now. I never had them before that. What I recently found to get it to work is if I open the app on my phone before I get on the scale and leave the app open it will then sync. If I don’t have the app open it will never sync 🤷🏻:female_sign:.

It's simply not acceptable that one day, Fitbit change the software so that the item no longer works, and requires users to go into and mess about with router settings. Moreover, the suggested fix does not work. In fact neither the router webpage address, username or password are correct anyway. Tbh this is the final straw for the Aria, its never been particularly accurate anyway. I could step on, off, on, off and take multiple instantaneous weigh ins, and each one would be different. Even when the scales did work, the measurement on the scales, the one recorded in my app, and the one displayed on the weight graph were all different! The fitbit idea is a good one, but the implementation and software is diabolical.
