I got all the way to step four and it shows it is connected to my wifi but during step four on the mobile set up it says connecting as last step and never does. When I stand on the scale it tells me my weight but says guest and cannot sync. Help please !

I can't seem to get my scale to set up. I unlock my router and add device but it keeps searching and can't find my device. Any help, please?

Unable to setup in Australia after succesful setup in Canada.
I have: checked router settings, replaced battereis, turned on/off/ read every FAQ and post. I seem to be able to change the network, but then get and ERR when I try to weigh.
The support is slow "due to high volume". Perhaps they shoud devote more resources to refining the device and the volume would not be so high...
Not happy.

I've set up my aria to my network. It recognizes it, and computer shows Aria with name and my initials. When I weigh, it does it's thing thinking etc, but then I get an X about the wireless symbol at the bottome of the dispaly and no data is transmitted.

Nice Looking scale and it's nice to be able to syn it; however, I have two other scales; one a weight watchters and the other Ozeri; both of which cost less than the Aria and have many more options. The other two scales give you not only your weight and fat %; they tell you the weight in fat as well as %; hydration, Muscle Mass and Bone Density. Now tell me which one should I keep? Fitbit just doesn't seem to be up to par with other digital wrist pedometers or scales for that matter. I'll have to look on line and see what other's are saying about this scale.
Thx

Getting really upset with this. I have a Linskys E2500 Router, set a 5GHz to a Mixed Network mode, Channel Width restricted to 40MHz with an Auto (DFS) Channel. A 2.4GHz set to Wireless-B only, Channel Width set to 20MHz and Auto Channel.
When I start the scale up I get V28 then Startup Active. I run the set up through my iPhone 5s. Connect to Aria, select my Wireless-B Only network in the set up process and type in my password (extra carefully to make sure its correct). The scale reads Saving, then Joining Wifi. My phone takes a moment then takes me to the screen telling me to connect back to my home network and hit I'm Connected. I have tried switching to my Wireless-B network and hitting connected and get "Wifi Err". I have tried switching to my Wireless-B network and not hitting connected and still get "Wifi Err". I've tried not switching to my home network and still get "Wifi Err". I am clueless what to try next there was 1 occasion that I did get past that (no idea how since I didn't do anything different) but was instantly met with a message "No Sync". Someone please help cause for $130 I am extremely upset at this product and how hard it is to set up.

Every time I try to setup my new Aria it asks me to put in my Wifi password. When I hit yes my connection to the internet is interrupted and my setup fails. Frustrating!

First, your Forum system to awkward and hard to use. I spend 10 minutes typing out our problem, then get a red message telling me "Message subject cannot exceed 75 characters." Why didn't you tell me that while I was typing the subject in? Why didn't you could characters while I was typing? Why do you have such a long subject line in the first place?
So I typed the problem out for ten minutes ... then in the process of redoing the subject line ... lost everything! Now I start over.
We are very disgusted with the Aria Scale. We've had trouble downloading the setup file. On day one we couldn't download the entire setup file, it wouldn't open.
We let it sit for 10 days. This morning I was finally able to download what appears to be the entire setup file onto our desktop computer. But I can't open it. Windows won't allow me to open the setup file because Windows says its coming from an untrusted source! Is fitbit.com an unsavory, untrusted source? I don't know. So now I'm stuck again!
I've downloaded lots of setup files and installed them without problems.
We were able to download the setup file onto a note book. But it wouldn't recognize the WiFi.
I looked at the reviews on Amazon.com. Looks like many happy customers. Then 10% to 20% are very unhappy, can't get it to work for various reasons.
We're sending the thing back.

My Aria scale keeps getting to a certain point in the setup and then it just quits and knocks my computer off my network. I am in a condo and there are several other networks in the area. Any ideas or similar experiences?

After changing the wifi router Aria needed a reset however trying complete download of software, recognizing router wifi (with password) it halts at the "take batery out for 10 secs and wait for message" screen. Nothing moves further after clicking "connect" button on the setup screens.
However, to mention, the setup screen are all larger and often the graphics and words bleed over themselve where I can't tell what's what. This for IE and Chrome. I've try different adjustments and zooms to no avail. It's well enough that I can click "connect" and "net" buttons but choosing wifi names and items are a bit challenging. Is there a glitch in the setup program that also is stopping my setting up the Aria?

I cannot get my Aria to setup. I have tried every setup suggestion on the forums. It seems like the smart phone setup is the way to go but when I try to connect to the wifi network that starts with Aria like instructed my phone says internet not connected and switches right back to my home wifi.
This is super frustrating for what should be an easy setup. May just have to return this and get a better working scale

Thought my Aria was not working, could not get past the "take out battery" step, but when I looked it was set-up and my data was on the computer. Did not need to fiddle with network bands - N or B. I used my old iMac desktop. I thought it was not working, because I never got the "setup" on the scale. But again, that is because it was already setup.
