The 1st pin on the charger to the far left is stuck in and thus the watch will not charge unless I push on the sides of the charger very hard.

To be honest I treat chargers as a consumable now. I go through about 6 per year ( my partner has a sense too). So we always have 1 or 2 spare and when 1 goes wrong, we use the spares and order 2 more. I think you just  have to accept the chargers have a 2-3 month shelf life.

When this one does, I will be switching to Samsung watch!

I started to clean the back of the watch, to make sure there are no skin flakes. Helped some.

Did this often. It may have prolonged the inevitable or not . Bottom line
this is a terrible design flaw.
