Fitbit Update: 09/3/2017

Our team is still actively investigating the root cause of this battery drain with Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. I'm sorry that many of you are still having issues with a shorter battery life, but rest assured this is being looked at as high-priority for our team. My apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your patience! I will provide an update as soon as there is more information available. In the meantime, please continue manually syncing your Blaze trackers only when needed. This will help preserve the battery-life.

Fitbit Update: 08/14/2017

Hi everybody!

Thanks for reporting your experiences with a rapid battery drain on Blaze trackers and your Android device - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Our team is aware this is affecting Blaze users and they are investigating the root cause. I will update this thread when there is more information available.

As a temporary workaround, turn OFF "Always Connected" and the "All-Day sync" features. Make sure to manually sync your devices at least once a day.

Thanks for your patience!

Mine did that,  I put it on the charger,  did a reboot,  charge,  kept doing both,  till one time it rebooted,  then it would charge . So far only done it that once .

I am having this same issue with my S8+. The battery doesn't even make it one day.

Add one more Blaze user who just upgraded to Samsun S8+. My Blaze battery life went from 4-5 days to 1-2 days. One of the great features of the Blaze has been its extended battery life. This needs a fix soon.

Problem solved!!

Only run app on phone and switch on Bluetooth when I want to do a daily
sync up, in meantime disable all day sync etc. The result is I am back to
recharging Blaze every 4-5 days. Not using features to full but otherwise
battery on Blaze drains too fast.

Not a long term solution for a fancy bit of kit...

Never had this issue with my Note 4. I don't like not being able to use full functionality of Blaze

My son found if you turn off "always connected " at bottom of screen on app it will help save battery life.

So relieved to see there are others with this issue.  I had zero issue with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5.  I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S8+ about a month ago and they have sent me two replacements for battery issues.  I was furious when I got my 2nd replacement last night, fully charged it, and woke up to 70% battery life.  Sucks spending almost $200 on a watch and not being able to use the features that you purchased it for.

I just got my replacement too and have a question! Do I have to delete and reinstall the app?

I sure hope it works!

You don't have to uninstall the app, but you do have to delete your old device and set up the new device through the app

I am pretty illiterate when it comes to this stuff.  How do I delete the old device??

I have an iPhone 6S and have been having problems for several weeks with battery life. My blaze used to last 4-5 days, now it doesn't make it even a full day.

Now today day my screen will not turn on at all. The green lights flash at the back and I have tried the restart procedure to no avail. Pretty bummed right now that my blaze is useless after less than a year.

Any suggestions?

I bought the Blaze back in April of last year and bought the Samsung Galaxy S8+ this past April. I just now starting having problems about 2 weeks ago with the battery drainage. Battery life is only lasting 24 hours if that. I've always had "all day sync", "heart rate monitor", "text and calls notifications" and "always connected" on since I've had the Blaze a year ago. I also wore this as a watch throughout the day so I'm pretty sure those aren't the issues. My battery life would usually last at least 3 days before this. Is there any kind of warranty? I don't want to purchase another one. I don't mind upgrading to a new version of Blaze if that ever becomes available but since that's not an option for now, please help.
