Started the morning with a Medium battery. Walked about 5,000 steps and noticed the watch wasn't working. Attempted to sync and received notice that the battery is empty. Placed it in charge cradle and only get the four dot logo. Will not accept charge. Suggestions?

It's great to have you here @Swampfrog! That's pretty weird, if the battery was medium then it shouldn't drained that quickly. I would like you to restart it. Additionally, it also may be drained now so please charge it properly again.
