Firmware version 17.8.301.8 - Resolves a syncing issue with Apple iOS version 10.2
Workout mode missing? Not a problem! Just follow the steps for adding it back.
Hey everyone! ![]()
We're rolling out a new update for Blaze, release notes below:
This release also resolves the following issue:
Important to note: A sync is required after a manual shutdown or a battery drain in order to show the correct time on Blaze. This is especially important for your activity tracked by Blaze because you'll want to make sure it's associated with the current date and time.

Got the new update yesterday, and so far all is good. I'm using the latest iPhone app to sync, and nothing has crashed or locked up.

Andrew, we are still waiting. September is almost over and there is still roughly 90% of Blaze owners without the features the watch "has".
It was only 70% yesterday and I doubt it's gone backwards today!

@MikeF Mike, where do you see those numbers? I have yet to see a detail of how the rollout process is going out. And even if it's 100% at the moment I am writing this, I believe we have a right as users to try to make things better at Fitbit. This is constructive criticism. I am not only complaining about the rollout process, but also giving ideas on how to improve future rollouts.
Create a beta program, limit it to the first 1000 users that sign in and run the tests on them. Once that is fully tested, deploy to everyone. And the most important part: don't advertise features that are not actually available (or at least don't have an actual release date).

So, assuming that it took 7 days to reach 30% of users, we can expect the process to be complete in 16/17 more days. Nice to know ![]()

Copy / paste, all there really is to it to work in Fitbit customer services. Sure it is not the end of the world and there are a lot of things that are far far more important, the way Fitbit has rolled out this update and handled the response is just amazingly amateur. And it also distract from the fact that the update contains content that should have been included before, the features the Charge2 has are nowhere to be seen?! This is all just really disappointing.

I did my update yesterday and now my workout button, under the exercise portion, is gone! I had to pick elliptical this morning during crossfit. Is this just a glitch?

@danielle911 You might have to re-add 'Workout' to your Blaze in your "Exercise Shortcuts" settings, then sync.

Thank you...it was there on my app, but not on my watch. I removed it and added it and synced, it still didn't work. I removed one of the exercises "bike" and now I can see "workout". There must be a new limit to the number of exercises in the watch.
Thank you!

@danielle911 I had to do this. I moved workout from the app to positon number 1. Synced the Blaze, and then moved workout to the position that I wanted. Very wierd, but it does work.

Hi @AndrewFitbit any update when the rest of us can expect to receive this elsusive update other than the 'soon' 'be patient' copy and paste replies? Where abouts are we in the rollout out process ? Has Fitbit now quietly removed the coming in September statement?
