Blaze can provide Call, Text, and Calendar notifications so that you can stay connected!
This post will provide instructions on how to setup your alerts so that you can see who's texting you, the content of the messages, who's calling, and what your calendar has on deck for you. For a detailed overview of alerts for Blaze, please see this help page.
Setup Steps:
Using Alerts:
You can easily see all of your alerts by swiping up from the home screen. Here, you'll see previous incoming calls, text messages for the day, and calendar alerts as well. You may delete these alerts either individually or all at once.

hangouts was already on my phone so I turned that on. I went into hangouts preferences or settings and chose it as my default messenger app. That moved all my messages to this app.

Yes that is how I have it. But I wonder how we can get it to work on the Google messenger app. I might play around with that to see if I can get it to work.
Best AnswerI couldn't get that to work when I chose it on the fitbit app. Using the hangouts isn't a big deal if you just merge them
Best AnswerThat's what I did too but I can't figure out how to get it back to my messenger app now. It always comes thru on hangouts. I must have done something somewhere.
Best AnswerFrom the App on your phone, go to the arrow by the charge symbol > Notifications > Turn off all Notifications > Go back one step and let the App Sync > then Turn all Notifications back on and let the App Sync again. This worked for me.
I did the same thing to messenger that I did with hangouts and it would not work with Android.
Best AnswerI just switched my sms app to messenger and successfully received a message on the blaze after enabling the messenger app for notifications. Switched it back now to hangouts but it does work.

@bjanow Great idea!
If you're using Blaze notifications on Android, please continue the conversation here, so that it may remain organized. We have moderators in that forum as well that are Android experts who are always happy to help.
Thanks everyone!
