Blaze can provide Call, Text, and Calendar notifications so that you can stay connected!
This post will provide instructions on how to setup your alerts so that you can see who's texting you, the content of the messages, who's calling, and what your calendar has on deck for you. For a detailed overview of alerts for Blaze, please see this help page.
Setup Steps:
Using Alerts:
You can easily see all of your alerts by swiping up from the home screen. Here, you'll see previous incoming calls, text messages for the day, and calendar alerts as well. You may delete these alerts either individually or all at once.

I am really confused about call/text/calendar notifications. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I don't change anything on my phone or fitbit between the times that they do and do not work. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Also, a few times, my blaze would vibrate every minute with the same calendar notification even though I had dismissed it several times.

Im quite new with my Fitbit Blaze, but i think it works grate so far 🙂
But im using a Nokia 930, wich is running Windows Phone 10. So notifications is not supported yet, as I have understod its Microsofts lack of integration of Bluetooth GATT that is the problem?
I found this after some google searches and just wonderd is this what we have been missing @EmersonFitbit? They posted it 6 days ago, so its quite fresh.

I have gone through all of these steps multiple times, but I still don't get any notifications...please help! I'm about ready to return this thing. If it isn't going to give me the calendar and text notifications, I might as well get something cheaper.

I figured this out - this is a problem with the NEW Calendar app (the one you have to download on to your phone.)
Switch to the Google calendar app that shipped with your phone (unfortunately it has exactly the same name), then adjust the settings in this app to send notifications. Also adjust the settings in the fitbit app to use the old calendar app for notifications. And adjust the settings in the phone settings to use the old calendar app for notifications. It's like four places that you need to adjust settings, but once you are using only this app for notifications the question marks will disappear.

My fitbit Blaze will only allow me to read 1 txt message every other text behind it will say "new message" and I can't tap on it or use any gesture for that matter to open it. I thought the ability to answer calls was broken, but I know it is not now.....it just plain flat out does not work with Android. Bascially I am left with a touch screen charge hr that can be used for a caller id, starting and stopping music and recive 1 txt message a day for 200 bucks. For the price of this watch not being able to do basic text message relays between the watch and the phone consistently is a deal breaker for me. Their are too many other options that can do those things well for around the same price. Back to my trusty charge HR.

I have had my Fitbit Blaze for about a month and up until last night, everything was working perfectly. Last night I had trouble syncing – even got the message “could not find tracker”. I have tried everything I can think of, restarting my phone (Verizon Galaxy Note 4), clearing the cache in the Fitbit app, clearing the data in the Fitbit app, uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app and rebooting the Fitbit. Everything seems to be syncing OK this morning, except I am not getting phone call and text message notifications. When I go to Devices > General > Call and Text Notifications to select your notification options, I get a screen hat says Turn on device notifications > Enable Notifications, which I’ve done, but I am still not getting them. Any advice?

I am using the standard Android messaging app. As it turns out, about two hours after I made my post, I went back into the settings and this time I was able to select them and set them, and now it's working.

I was using the defualt/native txt messaging app. All settings were probably enabled message previews in my messaging app, and all notification settings in the fitbit app. If they werent then why would the first message come through properly?
Technically if I deleted the message immediately after reading it the next would be visible, delete again and the next would be visible rinse and repeat. However if the first message was not deleted in a timely fashion after reading all following messages would say new message and not display the text. I have had times where there would be 20 txts that were unread becuase they were unable to be read litterally.
Text messaging is a feature all of the competiors of the Blaze get right fresh out of the box, so its not the phone. Text relayed to my Pebble just work. Texts relayed to Android Wear just work. Anyhow I just ditched it. Im back on a charge HR as my go to fitbit. The Blaze is just to "dumb" of a "smart" watch for me. Not a dumb product....it may work for some folks. Just doesnt fit me in its current state. Lack of 3rd party apps also hurts the Blaze IMO.
I think its the look, but I may have expected too much from the Blaze......Stuff I just didn't expect from the Charge.
Fitbit should partner with Pebble or Samsung and make a true smart watch.

Fitbit has set notification up to intercept what the Android os sends to your phone's display.
If you notice while the phone is in a lock state, with only one message unread, you will be able to read the text. If there are more than one message you'll only see the names and the message count.
The simple answer is, this is the way the default messaging app interfaces worth the OS, Fitbit hahas no way to control what is sent to it.
For this reason I use Google Messenger

Are there any plans for the notifications to include Whattsapp and Facebook messenger notifications?
