So fitbit have declined implementing a screen protector

"Fitbit Blaze screen is made of Gorilla Glass 3, which means its a durable material and damage resistant."

I'm not rough with my products I've never cracked a phone screen, dropped anything etc. I dont sleep with my blaze on instead my Charge HR and yet this morning I got dressed put on a jumper and what do you know there is a scratch there!

So Fitbit arent these suppose to be damage resistant?  Based on what you have answered to the declined idea I should be eligible for an exchange. As putting on a jumper should not scratch this. Very disappointed! I've had it a week!

@Kazlee The Blaze should put up a good fight against screen scratches, but I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team to see if they can help out.

Just received my blaze a few weeks ago and love it but cracked screen already. I own a surge as well and it had a cracked screen too and Fitbit replaced it but this is a little insane. My surge cracked in a couple of months (2 cracks actually) and the blaze in a couple of weeks. These screens need to be tougher or atleast Fitbit should consider selling them with a screen protector. Really disappointed right now and not sure what to do

So how do you explain the crack on my screen
Best Answer

My screen cracked within 12 days of purchase!  I never had an issue with my Surge and i had that over a year, customer service was no help refused to replace.  Luckily I just took it back to Khol's and they gave me no problem with exchange.  The screen shouldn't crack from one end to the other just by bumping it going through a doorway I mean you have to swing your arms to get the steps to count.  I've never had a single watch of mine crack before.  I just hope a screen protecter will be enough to prevent this from happening to my new Blaze.

I decided to call Fitbit and they are replacing my blaze no issues and again great customer service. Already bought a tempered glass screen protector to provide more protection. For most of my Fitbit products I have bought from Fitbit directly so I am not sure if buying it elsewhere creates an issue.

Anybody notice on their Blaze an indentation like mark upper right corner of face? I thought it may be a sensor or something. If not is it a defect?

I noticed a small line like indentation on upper right hand corner. Anybody else notice this? My friends and mine both have it so unsure if it's a sensor, design flaw, or defect. Anybody?

Yes.  Mine is in the seam around the screen.  I never bumped it just noticed it.   Clearly didn't get noticed initially either by quality control.  But thankfully their replacing mine no problem.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner!  If your tracker's display is cracked please contact customer support they will be happy to help! 😉 @gitagita I'm glad to know your tracker is being replaced. @AWRANG34 if the screen is cracked I doubt it is the light sensor.  @SunsetRunner if possible can you post a photo of your Blaze so we can see the damage to your tracker.

I'll be around if you have any questions. Woman Happy

I wish it was that easy. I've called your customer support twice about my cracked screen on my week old fitbit blaze. It was out hiking and went through a steep section of trail and used some rocks to help me climb up, and as soon as I get to the top, I look down and my screen is cracked. After calling customer support, they told me that no warranty covers my watch and that there is no service available at this time, and no replacement screen so I will have to buy an entirely new watch. My experience with your support was not helpful at all. This watch was a gift from my girlfriend, and I'm very sad that it's broken after a week of use. I'm very careful with my things and have never cracked a screen on any device. Here's number one I suppose.

Can you buy a piece of tempered glass like for your phones and cut it down to fit the screen to prevent cracks and scrapes?

I have no experience with my Blaze cracking a screen however I just scraped the screen by accident this morning on the stucco of my house real bad, my heart nearly stopped, went inside, wiped it gently off with some Novus and the screen was untouched. I mean not even the slightest shallow micro scratch. Real impressed with Corning Gorilla 3 glass.
