I have never had a problem with my Fitbit Blaze. It will notify me when I get a message and it says view messages. It won't show me the actual message. This just happener in the past month. I have an android s8.
I have searched and can't find a resolution.
Thanks!

Hello @ad162, welcome to the Community forums. Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for the information provided regarding the messages that are not being displayed. Before considering other options, please make sure to disable the notifications for your Blaze and then follow the steps provided in this article. to set up the notifications again.
Also, make sure that you've also completed the restart procedure described here.
Please keep me posted on the outcome.

I have the same issue and am growing increasingly frustrated. Some chat agents tell me to go through all the steps and others tell me it is an android 9 issue and engineers are working on it and some tell me that there is no androidn9 issue. Getting the run around is so frustrating. It worked about a couple of weeks ago but then just tells me "view messages " my emails and calendar events come in just fine.

I have a blaze and it stopped getting notifications. I fixed that but now it only gets a "view messages" notification. Restart and reloading app doesnt work for me as well. I am on the beta version-just shut that down-it doesnt work. Waiting to see if that will get it back to normal.

Hi Jogger. It's the updated app. I have been messaging Fitbit and they have not been helpful. They don't know when they will update the app. Very disappointing. Clearly it's the app.

Hi David,
Sorry these fixes dont work. It's the new app. I have completed them many times and still no notifications. Fitbit help basically said they are working on the update and they do not have a timeline. It's the app plain and simple.

I have the same issue of it just saying view messages, but I get all the other notifications, with the blaze on my android. I have literally did all I can do to try and fix it. Uninstalling, reinstalling. Turning off notifications to restarting everything. Bluetooth reinstalling. Force stop. All in different orders. I'm sure I'm missing something I have tried. Getting other notifications and phone calls, just no text messages, which are the most important! If it's a Fitbit issue, please resolve quickly!! I do not think it's my phone being the issue...

I just got a new phone, Galaxy S10, and thought that might be the issue. After reading these posts it sounds like it isn't the phone but the app. I have tried everything as well. Glad I am not alone.

Nope. It is very frustrating and I have been in constant contact with Fitbit and they have not been able to help at all. According to Fitbit they dont know when the next update will be available.

I have had the same issue for over a month. When I contacted Fitbit the customer service rep said Fitbit was aware of the issue and they were working on a solution. It has been over a month, and still the same issue. The whole point of having a Fitbit was to be able to check my messages without having to pull my phone out. This is very frustrating.
