Hi everybody! I don't usually uses blaze while I work. I put it on the table. After about four hours, the blaze turned to 60% batteries from 100%. Any power-down mode can I use in the blaze?

I don’t know yet. Right now I’m still working out and using a simple pedometer. The pedometer always gets my steps but because I may have been pushing a cart in a store or carrying something my Blaze didn’t record my steps. Some days I was over 4000 steps behind on the $150.00 Blaze As opposed to my $29.00 pedometer. And the cost of battery for it is only a couple of dollars and takes less than 3 minutes to replace😂. Question is do I really need all the stuff I may not even use?

You are within the warranty period. Contact the company and get them to
replace it for you. I believe there are FB people who monitor this list.
Hopefully, they will reach out to you with instructions for getting a
warranty replacement.

So what you're saying is, if you want the battery to last, don't use any of the features on the Fitbit?  Brilliant...

Unbelievable...

With mine, when I returned the heart rate monitor to "Auto" instead of
"on" it seemed to make a difference in battery life. It has gone back
closer to where I was before. Now, I am getting an extra day or so. I do
not know what the difference in settings means, practically, because it is
still measuring my heart rate. Presumably, it is just doing so a little
less often. In all other respects, I am using the same features I was
before. Forgive the pun, but your mileage may vary.

Wasn’t that a great statement, I think I’ll just wear it to show my support for FitBit. I mean then I don’t have to worry about where my charger is😂😂🤣😂😂. Unbelievable!

Thanks, but I had mine set to auto already, so I guess that isn’t helping.

Appreciate the help, though!

I'm not sure who you were responding to. If you were responding to MY post, I wear and USE my Blaze. It historically has gotten 5 days of life between charges. It recently went down to about 2.5 or 3. Since adjusting the settings, I am back to 4-5 days between charges. I support fitbit because I LIKE my Blaze. I would like to see the company improve the usability and particularly the durability of its products. But I do not trash the company just for the sake of doing so. If I can replace the battery in my Blaze, once it dies, I would GLADLY wear mine for another 3 years, because it has worked well for me, and it does everything that I need it to do. I like my wife's Apple Watch, but I do not need apps on my watch. I just need a fitness tracker.

(My response was to "bobby's" message, btw.)

Someone else in this forum had mentioned the settings change, so I thought I would pass it along. It helped me. I was not suggesting to Bobby that he (or anyone else) should wear a fitbit as a fashion statement.

What’s the point, at best Fitbit will only offer 25% off a new Fitbit, only to have that one die in a year.

No thanks, I think I’ll investigate the other brands.  This is my third Fitbit, and my wife’s second.  The battery issue is too much.

Suggestion:  if you are only going to make a product that lasts 1-2 years, then cut your price in half.

Mine has lasted 3 years on the same battery. This is my 3rd fitbit, but my
first Blaze. The other two were Charge HRs. THOSE lasted about a year to a
year and a half. I have found the Blaze to be vastly superior to those, in
terms of durability. If it had not been, I would be right there, with you.
That said, I want ANOTHER 3 years out of mine. I will gladly pay $120 every
5-6 years for the latest and greatest. My wife's Apple Watch was more than
double that. Her last Apple Watch lasted about 3 years.

I agree. I don’t need apps or music or anything else. I want to know my heart rate, calories burned, etc. That is what I used it for. But the fact is that it just didn’t hold up. A little under two years and I cannot charge it at all. Wife’s Versa died while under a year. Our HR Charges lasted about 1-1/2 years each. If I can find what I want for less money, I’m going to chance it.

Hell, I’m willing to pay more for something that gives me the ability to
swap out bad batteries vs. having to purchase an entire new device.

I’m with you, though, I just need the basics, I don’t need to watch movies
on it and all the other crazy crap some of these things do, I have a smart
phone for that.

Not sure if FB will allow this on their board, but check out the Amazfit.
The BIP is about $80 and has some decent features. I am a bit leery because
it is a Chinese company, so durability could be an issue. But battery life
is supposed to be something like 40 days on a charge. reminds me of a Versa
in appearance.

Price isn’t the issue as much as quality is. I’m thinking Garmin for the
next device

Well. Fitbit just made me an offer that I think I will have to refuse. They offered me a replacement Blaze (???) or 50% off RRP. That (if I have a look at the prices I could buy it for from any local shop) is really only around 25%.

I don't understand why you would refuse a replacement Blaze. This is
probably a refurbished unit, but it is likely to work just fine. I cannot
see a downside on this.

Fitbit never offered a replacement, they offered to sell me a refurbished
one at a 25% discount. Why pay 75% of the cost of a new one only to have
it crash in 1-2 years?
If I buy a Garmin, I’ll only be replacing the batteries in 1-2 years, not
the entire device.

I misunderstood. You may want to express your concerns to them. I received
the same offer you did. When I told them nicely that it was not such a
great offer, they told me they would send me a replacement. To me, it was a
bit of extra work. But in the end, I thought it was really good customer
service. That was about 3 years ago, and I am still a fitbit customer.

I was not very impressed with Garmin. But I checked their most recent
offerings, last night. I do not like ANY of them as much as my Blaze. But
they DO seem to offer an okay alternative. Not sure how the durability will
compare.

I don't even want to think about replacing my Blaze, at the moment.

They didn’t do this for me. I had a replacement go bad in less then three months but because the total time of the original plus the replacement went past 12 months they told me no and gave me low percentage off on another device of dubious quality.

My Apple Watch Series 3 meanwhile has gone past the year mark and is still going strong. I might end up replacing it with the series 5 simply for new features since it’s getting old. I never ran into this situation with a Fitbit.
