Blaze battery draining fast

Hi everybody! I don't usually uses blaze while I work. I put it on the table. After about four hours, the blaze turned to 60% batteries from 100%. Any power-down mode can I use in the blaze?

I expect that firm to force us to own a fruity phone; is that the case for a watch 3?

Man, I wish *I* was a solder monkey. If I was, I would replace my Blaze
battery time and again. I really like my Blaze and I will be very sad when
I need to part with it. But I am not handy with solder and I have not found
anyone local who will replace the battery for me. I tried a few places.
There is a national shop that does it for about $60-70, including shipping.
I have been tempted by that. For now, living with a battery that does not
last nearly as long as it used to.

Buried earlier in this thread (many pages back, probably), several times I have encouraged ppl to find their local makerspace (some call themselves hackerspace), take in a case of half decent beer, the blaze and the battery-plus-tool-kit you can get for $15 on ebay. I guarantee someone there will swap your battery, it'll take 10-15 minutes the first time, maybe 5 after you've done it once. And you'll make new, geeky friends! What could be better? 🙂

I don't recall... have never heard of a makerspace OR hackerspace. But I
did screenshot this for future reference. Thank you! If it works, it will
be worth a very good case of beer and the ebay kit.

It’s a lost cause - Fitbit will never provide any solutions except offer discounts to their less popular or discontinued models. It’s up to consumers to express their dissatisfaction- by not buying Fitbit anymore. I had 4 Fitbits but each new model lasted shorter and shorter - probably by design. I have an Apple watch but I’ve stopped counting my steps altogether - I just walk and work out as much as I can. There are more important things to worry about these days.

If you wanted to tell me the nearest major city to you, I could do a search. Or your google-fu may be up to the task. I can pretty much guarantee there's something of the sort within travel range of you. They may not be meeting this week, though...

I am in Metro Detroit. There are a couple of places in Detroit, and a
couple more in Ann Arbor, according to Google. I am about in the middle, so
will pick one, once this is over with. Thank you!

Have had the fruity 3 for several months now. I love it. I don’t miss the sleep, it has all kinds of apps. Takes a little experimentation but it works really well for me with my workouts. Check out the info and reviews for it before you buy as it is not cheap but still available under $200. Checked with others who has it and no one had a complaint about it. As always do your homework. Good luck. It’s a bit different and you may have to experiment with it. I have had it for several months and enjoying it more and more. Still finding things i didn’t know it had and that’s always fun. Talk to others and get their opinion.

You are correct about priority’s today. Hopefully this can be behind us in a short time. No need to count steps it does it for you and you can do either Indoor Walk (treadmill) or outdoor walk or run and it will show you the route you took. Pretty cool plus it holds Info of past walks.

Don’t know if if it’s a requirement. I switched to Fruity phone about two years ago so that was in place when I bought the tracker. It wasn’t part of my plan just worked out that way.

I personally like my Blaze too but it just dropped dead after a little over a year. Explored other options as this was my third fitbit and didn’t want to play anymore. Did without one for a few months while I looked over other options. Decided on fruity watch as I already had a phone and I really liked it. It has worked for me. Not all the same features but nothing I miss and I’m still finding new things it does. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure a 3 does require a fruityphone, which makes it a very expensive watch. I'll keep changing the battery for the time being, and assess my options when the blaze dies the True Death. I think I have the next 2 batteries on hand...

I actually went to the fruity phone almost 2 years ago. It was just a phone change at the time. Don’t know for sure if you need one. But you are correct in that if it is required it does make it a very expense move. Whatever you choose Good Luck and I hope it works out well for you

It's a joke I love the blaze but fitbit are definitely losing a customer
here and theres no chance I'm not telling the football and rugby team
about it. I bugged it up last year and I'm just waiting until there blaze
dies too. Joke of a company

My battery will not charge.  I charge it goes to full charge; and within 5 hours the battery is completely dead.  I have tried all of the tips to extend your Fitbit's device life; but none of them work.  Please let me know if there is anything / anyway to help.  I really enjoyed by fitbit; but if it's not going to work; then I need to move on.

Hello~
Did you reset your fitbit? I have had that help, in the past. Mine was
discharging in less than a day and after reset, it went back to normal. You
also want to check settings to make sure that the heart rate is automatic
and not ON. Your battery MAY be going bad, but mine is going on 3 years old
and still works acceptably. So yours may not be toast, yet. Good luck.
