No, any data already sync'd is on the Fitbit servers. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling it will have no impact on data still residing on the tracker.

Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself, I would like to know if you keep having problems syncing your tracker? If you do, I recommend our syncing troubleshoot, after these steps your tracker should work without an problem.

I am having this same issue since the update (I was one of those who grabbed it when it was accidentally released to everyone). My Fitibit is not syncing consistently. I have done the troubleshooting steps, and it will work again, and then a couple hours later it won't sync again. This is very frustrating.
