As of yesterday, my battery has completely drained after being fully charged. It dies within two hours.

Yes, contact fitbit and talk to a supervisor . The techs that answer the phone can't do anything for you if you are out of warranty. I stood my ground with the supervisor and they replaced mine which died at 15 months and out of warranty. Unfortunately its a refurbished device but at least it holds a charge. You're right, we spent way too much on this garbage for it to die in just over a year. This is my first and last fitbit device.

I've had my Blaze for 15 months and it's now only able to hold a charge for 5-6 hours. It charges fully but then drains pretty quickly. From a scan of the message boards it seems like this is a current and ongoing issue with Blazes. Some have guessed it's a firmware issue and not a battery issue but whatever it is, this is unusable as I know have to charge it every night before bed, every morning when I wake up, while I'm driving, basically every chance I get so it's pretty much only useful for most of my work day and then when I'm in the gym. It can't/doesn't track sleep since it dies overnight.

And now it's dead. It was showing a half-way charge, never gave me a low battery warning and 20 minutes later it shutdown and won't restart. Put it on the charger and it won't even charge.
Update: I just took it off the charger when I noticed it wasn't showing the charging battery on the screen after about 25 minutes of being plugged in and it's so hot it's uncomfortable to touch. Won't turn on, won't reset and now it's a hot brick. Great. Time to shop for something else.

My battery doesn't last 12 hours anymore. In looking into this a little deeper, it becomes apparent we have all been taken for an expensive ride. The batteries fitted in these trackers, made in China, are good for about 150-200 charge cycles. This built-in obsloscence means that these trackers were never designed to last longer than 2 years. I have suggested that fitbit starts at least offering a battery replacement service, since even in today's throwaway's society, this life expectancy is quite frankly, unacceptable. I would never have bought this thing if I knew it would only last a maximum of two years. The offer of a 25% 'amazing and generous' discount on a new and upgraded tracker is not attractive at all, since the profit margin on this type of hardware is above 60% so they are only making 35% off us when we foolishly bite on that offer. I am sorry but that i-watch is starting to look pretty good if that is the best fitbit can do. Ditch the bit.

I could see 25% off if these things only cost a few dollars but they don't. I have had a couple different fitbits over the years and have never had a problem like I am having with the blaze, it won't even sync. I have a check it every day and now the battery keeps going dead because of firmware. I believe this will be the last fitbit I buy.

About 10 days ago Blaze showed it needed to be charged. Put it on charger and got a full charge. Then I put it on and before the day was over it was showing that it needed to be charged again. Watch is only about 14 months old. What can be done.

I am experiencing the same exact problem and my device is only six months old. I have cleaned the device, and followed all the tips recommended under troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. Very disappointing. Would truly appreciate some assistance.

I am having the same problem. Watch is less then a year old and it won’t hold a charge for more then 4 hours. Also did all the tips shut down auto sync, heart rate, auto on when raise arm, turned of notification. Still the same. Kind of useless if I need to recharge every 4 hours. Anyone have ideas on how to fix it?

Hey @Lgak9, @radlwd and @CHawkerun a warm welcome to the Community.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourselves. If your trackers aren't holding a charge, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there. After these steps, test your units.
Let me know the outcome.

Hi AlejandraI have done all of these things the article suggest to do and the results are the same the Fitbit doesn’t hold aCharge for more then 5 hours.Plus what’s the point of turning everything off. Makes the watch kind of useless. I have a case number now and I just hopeFitbit will do the right thing and stand behind there product and replace it.The watches is just 6 months old!

I’m starting to wonder if this is a software update to our watches that has done nothing this. My Blaze is only about 8months old, and last week it said it was dead and I fully charged it. Within 8 hours it died again. My battery dies and shuts off my watch on a daily basis now. I used to go at the least 4 days until I had to do an overnight full charge!

If it was a software update it must have been done automatically because I haven’t update my software. My watch only last about 5 hours. Took it off the charger this morning full charge and it’s completely dead now 5 hours. My wife has the same watch bought at exactly the same time her’s seems to be fine so far. I will let you know if I hear anything back from Fitbit I have a case number opened with them.

Hi all
My Blaze (a replacement from Fitbit) is only 4 months old and is now not holding charge for more than 8 hours and as i'm having all the usual syncing issues i find it difficult reseting the time making my Blaze nothing more than an expensive bangle. Feeling a little bit cheated

I am telling all my friends to never buy a fitbit product. Have had 2 Blaze and both died within 8 months. Fitbit replaced the first one, but not the replacement. They said that the warranty is based on the original tracker not the replacement. Guess they know they are selling defective product
