I am having the same issue on my Charge HR for weeks now. Stuck on update status bar. App won’t even find it. Have updated the app twice and disconnected from Bluetooth, let it die, charged it, remove it and now the app can’t even find I to add I back. Completely useless. Looks like planned obsolescence to me. Trying to make you but the Charge 2 but this sure doesn’t encourage me.

Tried unsuccessfully several times over the last week, and it just occurred to me to google error message, read the replies, and Wow, tried what was suggested and it worked. Have been without my Fitbit for a week now, and have felt completely lost. So glad to have my friend back on my wrist and track my movements. Thanks!!!

I am not getting anywhere..
My Fitbit Charge HR was charged to medium and updating, but suddenly froze.
I can't reset it, the app (on my iPhone 6) is updated, but nothing has helped.
Can you tell me, what it was, that made it work, for you Money20591??

I have noticed a lot of posts on the update bar frozen and domain error 18
I had this issue and performed the following with a iPhone and HR
1. Turned off Bluetooth on the iPhone
2. Started the Fitbit app and update process
3. Fitbit app complained that Bluetooth was turned off and ask to turn on bluetooth in settings on the iPhone
4. From within the Fitbit app I clicked the window to turn on the bluetooth in settings on the iPhone
5. Once the Fitbit app was used to turn on the bluetooth, the Fitbit discovered the HR, connected via bluetooth and completed the update process.
The issue seems to be the communications of the Fitbit app and bluetooth on the iPhone. Turning the bluetooth on and off did not help until it was done from within the Fitbit app.

Tried all that lovely Bluetooth on/off in app/out of app crap and still no good. It thought about working at one point but nope.

Had exactly the same problem updating from my iPhone. Tried Bluetooth and nothing. Updated the Fitbit app and the iPhone, but still the error message and still a Fitbit stuck mid update. Really frustrating. But as soon as I updated from my iPad it worked in around one minute. Try downloading the app on another device, log in and update. Worked a treat for me and hopefully you too.

You have to connect your WiFi to hotspot or internet then it will work.
