Hour with 250+ Steps missing after sync?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I complete the hours with 250+ steps, with my Blaze showing the 250 steps completed and then after syncing with iphone app it now shows the hour as not completed 250+ steps??

Hi there @GG007. Good to see you around! 🙂

Thank you for notifying of this issue. I will try to see if I find more users experiencing the same problem to determine what is going on and also see if this is a known problem. In the meantime, I can suggest restarting your tracker by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds and then use it as you would normally do and see if this works.

I just received the update. Now I can see the hours I moved 250+ steps on my Blaze. But why does it say 0/8 hours for today? The app says 4 hours. I just restarted the Blaze, no change.

I have had it happen twice, both times it showed as reaching 250 on the blaze, but after a sync later it never showed up.  One was frustrating becasue I was 13 for 13.  Both times were when I was up and moving just to get to 250 for that hour, so maybe there is a couple of step discrepancy from the watch and the app?

It does that for the first day......it will work fine tomorrow.

This has happened again and it was for the hour on my lunch break where I went for a 10 min walk with over 250+ steps with blaze showing it completed for the hour, the watch displays 7/10 and the dashboard displays 6/10.

A few days ago I had the same problem. Blaze shows all hours completed, app not.

This is definitely not an isolated problem. I am experiencing odd discrepancies between what is recorded on my Blaze and what is reported on the Dashboard. Hours that record as completed on the Blaze do not show up on the Dashboard, and also the other way around.

I'm curious as to if the website agrees with the app or the Blaze?

I only have photos/screenshots from one day. On this day (10/9), the Website matches the app, neither of which match the Blaze.

Yesterday (10/10) the app showed a missing hour of activity, yet the Website, as did the Blaze, showed all hours as completed successfully.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.

For those who are still having this problem, have you tried to restart your trackers by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds? For those who have not tried this, see if that makes any difference.

I'm passing along this information and hopefully I get news from our team on what could be causing this.

Thank you all for participating!

I am having the same problem where my Blaze displays 4 of 14 while the app shows 3 of 14.

I have synced several times, restarted and shutdown the Blaze and the app still has not synced.

I'm not having a problem with the active hours feature. However, I have noticed off and on that the website dashboard and the Blaze itself often show different values for my resting heartrate. Right now, my Blaze has shown 44 all day and the dashboard shows 45, even though I've synced several times today.

Several times.

Add me to the list of people who are also having this same problem - I've also tried restarting the watch by pressing the left and lower right buttons.

I've been researching the "hourly activity discrepancy" problem on Fitbit's site. This issue occurs on both the Android and iOS apps. It also occurs for other devices, not just the blaze. In more than one thread the moderator has said Firbit engineers are working on the issue and are asking for photos of the issue.

Here's mine:

I understand the issue may arise if there's a time mismatch between the device and phone app. I don't understand why Fitbit cannot correct the mistake when the phone synchronizes with the device, as it does throughout the day? The device should always be the "correct" record, the phone should just repeat that data.

Best Answer

I experience this issue, too. Restarting the watch does not cause the phone to display corrected data after a post-restart sync. Once the phone displays a "missed" hour, it continues to report this misinformation.

Here's an example:
