So I complete the hours with 250+ steps, with my Blaze showing the 250 steps completed and then after syncing with iphone app it now shows the hour as not completed 250+ steps??

Mine has quit recording any active hours after 4. I got 14/14 today but the app/dashboard is only showing 4. All other stats are correct. So much for being able to keep up with friends and compete based on daily stats.

I really wish that FitBit would fix this problem. I suspect there's a sync/timing issue that involves the 250+ steps per hour, but I'm not 100% sure. It does seem like my missing steps (for the weekday/weekend challenges) usually happen when my FitBit knows I took 250+ steps in an hour, yet the app shows the steps did not happen within the hour.
I've been living with the fact that weekday/weekend challenge may be 300-400 steps off, but today I looked and I've been ripped off 870 steps for the workweek hustle! When I look at the steps I've taken this week (on the app), I see 43,864. But when I go into the challenge, I'm only seeing 42,994. I've shut off the watch, done a hard reset on the watch and even logged out of the app - I'm still missing 870 steps! Those 870 steps could mean the difference between 1st and 2nd place!!

I have experienced the same issue with the app showing that there is an hour missing 250 steps, but the Blaze reported "Good Job" and that I made my 250 step goal. Force sync, usually resolves it (after several tries), but not always.
Today, I experienced this issue and when I synced a couple of times, I got my little red dot and was all happy. In the next hour, I left for work and wondered if I had gotten my 250 before getting in the car. I forced the sync and the previous hour (displayed as complete, prior to sync), disapeared! It was there and then it dropped out? It did show that I got my steps in before getting in the car, but I "lost" the previous hour? That is very frustrating. I don't look at total steps until later in the day, so I don't know if total step count was affected by the change.
I use these little goals as motivation and look forward to getting my little green rainbow at the end of the day. Seems a little nit-picky, but something like that can actually derail my give-a-crap for step goals that day. That is partly why I chose FitBit. It should work correctly or at least have an option to manually correct data. Yeah people could cheat, but that is on them.
I realize that with challenges, the ability to edit data could be abused and affect others. But, for those not participating in a challenge, it would be a nice "work-around", until the problem can be corrected by FitBit.

I have had this happen twice so far that I have noticed, both times it showed as reaching 250 on my Charge 2 but it will not show up on the website or the application on my phone. Right now the Charge 2 shows 7 out of 12 hours met and the app shows 6 out of 12 hours met. Yesterday it was missing 2 hours. It's very disappointing because I am making the effort during the day to get up away from my desk job to make these goals.

I have pretty much lost all faith in my Blaze. I certainly wouldn't use it in a competition. Never mind the app (which still doesn't record my achievements accurately), the Blaze itself records steps I never took. I was sitting on the floor yesterday, playing with our kitten, and all of a sudden it said "Nicely done! 250/250" and I hadn't moved from that same position. So I started checking it more closely. Leaning forward and back once resulted in 9 steps. No wonder I met goal that day.
It also doesn't record steps and floors I *did* take. I had to lower my floors goal to 5 just so it wouldn't keep saying I hadn't reached it. We live in a three-story house, and I routinely walk 15+ floors per day. Very frustrating. I don't even know why I still wear it. Combined with the app issues, there is no way my daily stats are accurate.

I too am having this same issue and have had it in the past. Just today it says on my Fitbit that I hit both hours so far but on the app it says I missed the first hour.

I have this problem almost every day. Today, my blaze told me I met the 250 at about 15 minutes into the hour. I tried for the next 30 minutes to sync so it would register on the app. I forced syncs, closed the app, open and sync, nothing... Every time it synced, the stupid dot wouldn't turn red. Now, the hour has passed and it has moved on - leaving me with a grey dot. Fitbit...PLEASE fix this!!

So I just tried restarting my Blaze because of this issue and now I'm not getting anything. Just a blank screen. Now what?

Hi thre @LAKofron. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry your screen is blank 😕
If you put your tracker to charge do you see anything coming up on the display? What happens if you try to restart it again? It could be that the battery was low when you restarted it and a restart is demanding on the battery and that could have drained it all. Do you see the lights flashing on the back of the tracker?
Let me know how it goes.

@FerdinandFitbit It's been months and months and this is still happening. Interestingly, recent experiences lead me to believe that the problem is not that the hours with 250 steps are completed too close to the changing of the hour, but that the dashboard doesn't count the hour as having 250 steps unless you've taken an undetermined number of steps over 250.
Usually, when I complete 250 steps early in an hour then sync, the dashboard shows that hour as completed. However, if I sync shortly after completing the 250 steps, it does not show the hour as completed, even though my Blaze itself does.
As further evidence, I was recently on a long phone call with a customer when my Blaze buzzed to tell me I was short my 250 steps. I got up and paced, because I'm a slave. The Blaze buzzed to let me know that I had completed the 250 steps, so I sat down again. This was 7 or 8 minutes before the end of the hour. When I looked at my dashboard later, it showed that hour as not completed, though it showed completed on my Blaze.
I wish Fitbit would take fixing bugs seriously.

Hey there @meresydotes. Good to see you around and thanks for taking the time to share this with us!
I really appreciate your feedback on this and you sharing your experience. Now, I'd like to know. This sounds similar to what happens with the sleep logs. If you wake up in the morning and sync the tracker right away, nothing will show but after you synca second time after that, the sleep log shows. Is this what happens in your case? If you sync right after it will show the hour as not completed and if you sync later on it will show the hour as completed or it just stays as not completed regardless of syncing later?

@FerdinandFitbit Sorry, I don't sync first thing in the morning. I run first. Sometimes my Blaze thinks I'm sleeping when I'm running, though. I do kind of think this may be related to the fact that my web dashboard frequently shows my resting HR as 1 BPM higher than my Blaze and the app (Android) dashboard, though.
@FerdinandFitbit Also remember that the hours with 250 steps never show up on the dashboard, while it seems that the missing sleep does show up eventually. I imagine there's a delay before the tracker realizes you're no longer sleeping, while the missing hours of movement are just missing.
Further evidence of the delay - running notwithstanding - I have my hours of movement set to start at 4 AM, because I get up at 4:45 and run. I thought I wasn't getting the reminder to move because I'm usually up and around by 4:50, but I'm starting to think it's because the Blaze isn't positive that I'm not still sleeping.
On that note - I do use the silent alarm. You would think it would take that as evidence of being awake.

Hmmm that's strange @meresydotes. Not sure if that would have something to do as your tracker relies on your movement and your heart rate in order to determine that you're sleeping or awake so I don't really think that syncing or not in the morning makes any difference.
I'd like to know though going back to the issue with the hours showing as not completed, will they show as completed eventually or even if you sync multiple times after it still says that you're missing one hour?

@FerdinandFitbit They NEVER show up. People have been reporting this on these forums for months!
If I sync just after I complete the 250 steps, but take more steps that hour, then I get "credit" for the hour later. If, as in my example of completing the 250 steps 7 or 8 minutes before the end of the hour, then sitting down right away and staying seated, the hour will never show as completed on the dashboard. It does show completed on the Blaze.
I have to say, it's very frustrating that Fitbit shows so little interest in fixing bugs and asks the same questions, getting the same answers, over and over, rather than listening to feedback and acting on it.
People report the same problems over and over and over and Fitbit support acts every time as if this is the first time they've heard of such a thing and nothing gets fixed. The same thing has been happening with the problem counting steps accurately when the user swings his or her arms a lot when walking/ running.

This has just started for me since the firmware upgrade to 17.8.401.3.
These photo's are from yesterday and today. On both days the Blaze shows 10/10 (which is correct) but, the app shows 9/10.
Hope this can be rectified soon.
