Hi everyone! Just two quick questions about the Blaze's notifications system:
1) From my understand, "text message notifications" on the Surge are limited to SMS messages, meaning iMessages between iPhones do not show up on the device. Is this also true for the Blaze? Almost all of my contacts that I text on my iPhone 6 are also iPhone users, so all of their texts are iMessages. Will none of these show up on the Blaze?
2) From my understand, the Surge only shows single most recent text message, as in if you miss a text notification, a newer text will erase the old notifcation. Is this also true for the Blaze, or will it be possible to view all of the unread notifications from texts?

This preview is found in your messaging program under settings. I had to go into the phones Sound and Motivations settings, the While Locked - show all content. Without this the messages only appeared on the Blaze with the phone unlocked.

Hello. I am hoping that someone can assist me. I'm sorry If I missed an existing response to my question, but would appreciate help. I have the BLAZE, a Galaxy Note 4 and utilize the messages+ app thru Verizon cellular service. I have not been able to read any sms on my Blaze; only receive the notification and the name of the person. I've tried to tap, double tap, push the buttons on the Blaze, etc. But nothing allows me to read any sms. I also closed my texting pop-up windows on my phone because the manual for the Blaze indicated that if the sms app is open you won't get it. I have all my notifications turned on, I'm paired and connected. Please help...or should I give up, sell this and buy a smart watch? Okay, I know that's drastic, but I think I'm beginning to feel slightly flustered. In advance, I thank you for your time and any support you can provide.

Even though Messages+ is an option to select from the Fitbit app, you will not receive anything other than the notifications if you continue to use it. You'll need to revert to the native app, Messages, in order to read the texts. Many people like the Textra app because of its customability, but most people also find that with Textra they receive multiple copies of the same text every time (which is what happened in my case). Since switching to the Messages app, I have not had any problems reading texts.
Note that if you receive multiple texts from the same person before you can read the first one, you will likely just get a notification that you have X-number of messages and won't be able to read them. This is not a Fitbit reaction, but rather the way Android pushes the notifications in those circumstances.

I really enjoy new technology and making life's tasks easier and more
efficient. Looking forward to seeing more info on the Blaze's evolution.
Keep me in mind for updates/info. I would love to see us be able to label
alerts. So like if I set an alarm for 9am to "take vitamins", 10am "break
for walk", 10:30 "morning snack", etc. Of course we all want more clock
faces too and other good features that they can add. Thanks for welcoming
me.

Hi, I am having the same problem. Called the Customer Service Number whi, was instructed to send a picture of the screen I was seeing on the watch. Never heard back from them. Called back today and spoke to a different, more knowledgeable person, and was told that the software version on my Android Galaxy S4 (5.0.1) was the problem. He tried to help me upgrade my software, but apparently there is no upgrade for this phone at present. I recommended that the website be upgraded with this information, as my phone is on the approved list of phones to be used with the Blaze. This is very disappointing, as it was one of the features I was looking forward to using. I haven't decided if I'll return the watch yet or not because I really do like it!

Hello @JaydeEyes it is because you are running message+ which doesn't seem to be working even though it is on the list. I switched to the stock message app (green icon) and have not had a problem since. I hate the stock message app but I love getting the messages on my blaze. I hope fitbit fixes this problem soon so I can go back to using message+ but until then oh well gotta suck it up.
using Droid Turbo 2 and FitBit Blaze

True @alyssasgrammi the formatting of, or lack of body message has more to do with the way your message program and three Android OS.
Three way the message pops up on the lock screen of the Phone should need the way the message shows on the Blaze
Yes Message Plus will not work to your satisfaction

Hello @FitRN7 welcome to the Fitbit Community! 😉 If you are not receiving notifications on your Blaze try the following:
1. Restart your tracker.
2. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Turn off Bluetooth, wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
4. Reboot your mobile device.
Let me know if this helps! 🙂

First question I have is which phone do you have, and which messaging app do you use?
IOS: Is the messaging program enabled in the notification penal
Android: Under the phone's settings - device - sounds and notifications - while locked - set to show all.
