Message notifications on Blaze

Hi everyone! Just two quick questions about the Blaze's notifications system:

1) From my understand, "text message notifications" on the Surge are limited to SMS messages, meaning iMessages between iPhones do not show up on the device. Is this also true for the Blaze? Almost all of my contacts that I text on my iPhone 6 are also iPhone users, so all of their texts are iMessages. Will none of these show up on the Blaze? 

2) From my understand, the Surge only shows single most recent text message, as in if you miss a text notification, a newer text will erase the old notifcation. Is this also true for the Blaze, or will it be possible to view all of the unread notifications from texts?

My message notification worked great on my Blaze when I had a Galaxy S6 Edge. After upgrading to the Galaxy S7 Edge, my message notifications stopped, although I still get calendar and call notifications. My settings for all three types of notification are on, but messages don't display. Any suggestions on how to get my messaages to show? My Bluetooth shows connections with both Blaze and Blaze Classic, I've rebooted the phone and my Blaze, turned BT on and off....and nothing changes. Help.

Hello, Fitbit Blaze using ios/iphone. I get message notifications, but then they disappear without me tapping the "clear all" button. I also understand that they clear automatically at midnight. Is there a way to access them from the blaze (that day) when I want to look at them?

A combination of button presses perhaps?

@10kbert  The messages should be staying on your Blaze.  If I swipe up from the bottom (from the main screen) mine are there until either I swipe right after viewing (which deletes the individual message) or they expire off.    What do you see if you swipe up from the bottom?

Great to see you here @Dieseldad, @10kbert welcome to the Community and @Kmransom123 thanks for stopping by and the recommendation.  Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is not a compatible phone yet and that's why you are having problems connecting it with your Blaze. Keep in mind that you can always sync your tracker with a computer or compatible mobile device.

Another way to bring up the notifacations from any screen is by pressing and holding the lower right button in

I have an iPhone 6 and I was getting text message notifications fine. The notifications have stopped the last week or so. I have checked all the settings and I have Bluetooth on all the time. I don't know if this has anything to do with the new update.

My phone has been updated. Both my Fitbit blaze and phone are finicky.

Sometimes I've found my blaze notifications off and I know I haven't changed them.

I am having issues with view my text msgs on the tracker. It says I have a "new message" but when I tap it nothing opens. I cannot view who has sent me the msg nor open and read it. I have a samsung galaxy s5 and cannot figure out how to view the msg in it's entirety. Any suggestions?!

@runnergal16 are you using the standard messaging app that came with your phone? This app is set to give popups with the message body only when there is only one unread message.. When 2 or more unread you'll only receive a message count report.. I use Google messages
