I have had my blaze for 2 weeks and have been very very happy but now it won't sync. When I try it says tracker not found. I haven't updated my phone software and it was working fine until this morning. If I delete the app and re pair my blaze, will I lose all my data? Am very disappointed

@celiawheelia A warm welcome to the Community! There are some reasons why your tracker may not sync.

- Your Bluetooth is off

- Your tracker isn't within the range distance 15-20 ft

- Your tracker doesn't have enough battery

- Your mobile device doesn't have strong internet connection

In case, this happens again you can try this syncing troubleshoot.

Hope this helps.

No data is ever stored on the phone or tracker, but before you do this there are things to try. What your suggesting should only be done if nothing else works.

Make sure you app is up to date, amd read this help doc.

First try a restart of the tracker, and through the phones BT settings turn BT off/on.

Now try a sync. If this doesn't work, go into the sertings on the Blaze and then shutdown. Restart by pressing the home button.

Still not working restart, better yet, shutdown the phone, then turn it on.

Still no, then remove the Blaze, not the Blaze classic, from the phones BT settings.

No try and sync, the ago should do a pairing up.

Now if it still wont sync, then delete the app, amd install fresh.

Not yet, dont remove the Blaze from the account, but add it as a replacement device.

@SilviaFitbit In my environment and as the Blaze is setup in multi tracker mode with a One as the second Tracker the One always syncs. The Blaze I have to wait at least 3 hours between syncs and I get the typical error messages. Mainly Tracker not found, Live data not found and can't get to Fitbit.com.

Which Live data... The phone or the Internet ?

All of these surprise me when it is immediately after the One has synced.

I thought I had better luck immediately after I charged the Blaze and that pointed me towards the battery. I typically get 4-5 days out of the battery, but lately I have been charging it every 2 days.

Smiley Happy I have finally resorted to hearing aids and they have Bluetooth and I don't use that for any reason just that the hearing aids communicate with the LH and RH aids. Again that doesn't affect the One.

So in my environment it makes no difference, inside the house, outside also the PC doesn't pick the Blaze up.

This is my second Blaze, not for these issues, but a scratched and chipped screen.  Both of my Surges used to do the same thing.

I always resort to different computers, rebooting the phone and rebooting the Blaze and doing everything as recommend'suggested by Fitbit.. Have we anymore clues.. I'm on the latest Blaze Android software on my Sony Z1 and WiFi is not turned on...

I can't get responses from this link

It's about 8pm Melbourne time and 3am Californian time.. and most of my issues are in your time frame between 10pm and 7am your time...

Now I have turned off all devices, the One, my hearing aids and the phone.... The Blaze synced immediately to the PC..

Restarting the phone and leaving the other devices off makes no difference....

I will add more to this because it has to be a weakness in syncing with the Blaze to the phone and the PC

When the Blaze won't sync, SMS and phone notifications always work so we have a positive Bluetooth link.

Again, typically, the One syncs and then up to 4 hours before I get a successful Blaze sync and very intermittent.

Edited to add.. 30 minutes on and the Blaze is now fully charged. Result, the One synced immediately and the Blaze will not sync. Turned off the One and the Blaze synced immediately.

The Blaze would not sync on previous tests when I isolated it.

Smiley HappySmiley Tongue I haven't turned my hearing aids off which are designed to sync to an iPhone or Samsung 7.

More information...

My Blaze is fully charged and in the Multi mode my Fitbit One just updated the Blaze Dashboard correctly with its steps. A minute later the syncing message was, the Blaze tracker cannot be found.

Therefore the issue has to be in some form of logic, because Bluetooth established the connection with the One and synced and now no luck with the Blaze.

Also since the latest update of the Fitbit app I'm getting messages on my Sony Android that it won't support headphones. My Bluetooth hearing aids are switched off.. I have had this phone for over 2 years and it is up to date with V 5.1.1, the latest in Australia with my Telco.

More to add and in my humble opinion..

My Fitbit One was syncing all the time.. I had to wait 11 hours for the Blaze to sync and in the same environments..

I fully charged the Blaze and  the Blaze synced immediately and has synced every time over the last few hours to my Android..

It makes one think that the Bluetooth signal is  little weak in a strong area of conflicting fields.. ie home WiFi, 4 computers, 3 phone lines with Panasonic cordless phones,3 mobile phones plus all of the LED lights and 6 TV's.Smiley Happy and of course my Bluetooth hearing aids....when the Blaze is about 2+ days after a charge. After the charge, not an issue....

This is not the first time I have experienced a sync immediately after a charge..I have continually triesd the restarts etc to no avail.

Hello,  I have tried all the things you mentioned in your post, but my Blaze still will not sync.  I was syncing just fine before today.  Very frustrating.

Thank you for any help.

My blaze has worked perfectly since I got it in March until the last update. After that I keep losing my ability to get notifications and have to go through crazy efforts to get it working again.  This last time, it lost bluetooth connectivity, wouldn't sync or anything.  I did all the the things people suggested to no avail.  I turned my Samsung S6 phone off, turned it on, deleted cache in safe mode, turned it back to regular mode.  I of course made sure the phone bluetooth was on, and in range, and that the battery on the watch and phone were fully charged.  I made sure the notification settings were on.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone.  I reset the watch.  I attempted to delete it from the list of paired devices.

I am very frustrated as to why they can't keep this working and the problem is getting worse (note my original post was under notifications, but now the problem is much bigger).  It tracks stuff but can't communicate it to the app because it won't sync (it has an exclamation point there).  My bluetooth on my phone is working fine with the other devices.  It is the blaze that has a bug, and it needs to be worked out specifically on Samsung Galaxy phones. Most of the really great features are useless if it can't stay paired / synced with one's device.

@MietteTHDoes your Blaze sync immediately after you fully charge the Blaze ?.

I have had a fortnight of success with syncing after a full charge.

I have eliminated my phone and Bluetooth as the issue because I have multi Fitbit installed and my Fitbit One never fails to sync.

I was having difficulty syncing the Blaze just now after my One synced. So I fully charged the Blaze and it synced immediately.

My phone is a Sony Z1 Android.

The only way I can get my blaze to sync is to CONTINUALLY shut down the blaze and restart. Each and every time I want to sync I am forced to perform a shutdown and restart. I expect much more for the money I paid. Worked seemlessly until about a week ago. One more quirk and I'm taking it back. Just not worth the added fuss.

I agree Raznikk.  I can't believe people are saying that the Blaze has to be fully charged to sync, and yet one of the selling points is that the battery lasts up to 5 days!  Seriously, this is a FitBit issue which needs to be addressed, and fast!  I will be returning my 2 week old Blaze and going to another brand of fitness tracker.  I am so very disappointed.

I'm having more success now with the syncing. It is more consistent since the Android App update last week.  I had the same Bluetooth issues with all of my HR Fitbit's but never with the Zip or One.

Last night it synced perfectly at the same time I had the Low Battery email.

I feel the  big issue is having competing Bluetooth's and Wi-Fi  in an environment.

If you consider my home environment where I have most difficulty I'm surrounded by

1. Windows 7 Computer with Dongle

2. The same computer with Logitech wireless keyboard aand mouse

3. Home Wi-Fi with 3 computers.

4. Android Bluetooth

5 .Fitbit One and Blaze bluetooth

6. iPad Air ..... The iPad definitely kills my syncing

7. Hearing Aids Bluetooth.Smiley Happy

8. In the car, Bluetooth and that allows the Fitbit to work.. maybe because I have eliminated some of the conflicting devices. In that environment I have the Phone, hearing aids, the Blaze and the One.

I'm in multi mode and the Fitbit One always syncs first followed by the Blaze. BUT, the Blaze always takes longer to connect and sync to the Android.  I always have difficult syncing to the PC in the environment above using Fitbit Connect.

When I go outside away from the home environment the Blaze always syncs when  I get to the front gate as I'm going out.

I have now discounted the low level of battery charge and I find more success when I reboot the phone and the Blaze.

I have never had to reload the Android App.

I have just successfully synced to the Android as I type this... So there is more reliability after the last App update for me. So I tried to Fitbit Connect and that was unsuccessful and the minute I powered the Android off it synced immediately to the PC.

Finally, and I posted this somewhere else, I had a portable ECG at the local hospital and their system wouldn't connect to the device I had to hold. As soon as I switched off the phone, the Blaze and the hearing Aids it sprung into life. So the company who where running the ECG tests were very thankful..... So it is not only Fitbit.. More likely the electronic world we live in.

When you examine this you can see my version numbers of firmware and I'm on a 4g Mobile Cell network.

I am having syncing issues as well.  I have done everything.  I have deleted the app and reinstalled the app.  I am not able to unpair the device from my phone.  I have deleted my fitbit from my app.  I can not re install my Blaze to connect with my app now.  I have not had a problem with my Blaze till now.  I have had my Blaze for 5 months and absolutely love it.  Before it I had 2 different Charge HR's and had lots of problems with them.  So I upgraded to the Blaze.  Now I am not able to use it because it will not resync to my phone and my app.  Please help me !!!!

@sjjttk let's see what can be done, first without knowing the phone I'll give general answers.

To unpair the Blaze from the phone go to the phones Bluetooth settings and do an unpair, disconnect or forget.

Now that the Blaze is no longer connected to your account, we will need to fix the original problem before we can continue, doing a replace the tracker with itself is recommended as a last resort.

Have you restarted the Blaze, by holding the left and lower right buttons for 15 seconds? Then go into the Blaze settings and do. Shutdown, this fixes prom lens when a 2 finger doesn't work.

Make sure the app is up to date, or better yet, remove the app and do a fresh install. Now power off the phone.

Since you said you tried everything, this should cover the ultimate fix.

I have actually found since I have stopped switching off the Bluetooth on my phone that the sync happens without any problems. I had done this originally as I thought it might affect the battery life on my phone. It doesn't really, and it seems to have eliminated all the syncing problems. I would try this first as the rest of the stuff is quite faffy
