Screen cracked!

Hello, I got Fitbit Blaze as a birthday gift from my girlfriend three weeks ago. I was so happy when I found out that I will get them. All the time I took care of them but today morning after I was sleeping with blaze on my hand I found the screen cracked! I am very disappointed because I have had Charge HR for 14 months before and I had absolutely no problems with it all the time and it had only plastic screen and Blaze should have gorilla glass. What is wrong with my Blaze??

I woke up with a crack in mine.  And they told me sorry nothing they can do

Went to bed last night.  Mine was fine.  Woke up with a perfect diagonal crack, corner to corner, all the way across the screen.  I think it's a stress issue, as impact was not involved in this case. No sign of impact whatsoever.

It's good to know that you think Fitbit has excellent customer support! I have not been so fortunate. I got my Fitbit blaze in February 2018 and I contacted Fitbit cuntomer support for my screen cracked and they informed the unfortunately the warranty had expired. They had the talk to try and sell me a new one for 25% off on a new one. I even offered to pay for the repair. I'm done!

That is the same thing I was told. Only will give a 25% discount. That's not much for what the watch cost.

I think it's poor customer service!

While I understand 25% might not be considered enough, Fitbit would be charging 75% of the trackers cost to replace a screen.

So for the same price one can get a new tracker..

Considering physical damage is not covered, I think this is a good alternative to having a repair service.

Yes there are third parties that will replace the screen.

This is about what Apple charges to fix your screen.

With all the reply's that I have seen about the Blaze screen cracking it looks Fitbit has a big problem with this watch. If it was an auto it would be have a recall.

I left Fitbit several months ago. I have a new tracker watch (Amazfit) and I cut grass and lots of yard work. Fuctions are more dynamic than Fitbit.  No cracked screen. Fitbit thinks everyone must be loyal... Wrong answer!!!

The only thing I was offered was 25% to buy a new one as well. Not the way to handle a customer that had 4 of their products. Looking to buy a new one and will look at apple first.

I was told they dont replace the screen and there is nothing they can do.  And now the fit it isn't guarantee to be waterproof and that was the whole reason I bought this one.  So I could swim in it

I agree with BigMikeBig, when they lost my original loyalty, I took the lost while selling my shares of FIT. Brought at $7.+ sold at $5.+. I remember they started around $50. Consumers do not lie, they buy quality items. Those Fitbit board folks are only get rich quick folks. They will go just like Blackberry. I am sorry, Blackberry who?

Everyone really needs to understand that Fitbit is an international company and has to honor there warranty, which does not cover accidental damage.

Sure Fitbit could offer a repair service,

So let's say they offer a repair service.

With your $199.00 watch Fitbit will most likely charge $149.00 to replace the screen. Would this be acceptable?

Note that on the cheapest AW Apple charges $199 to replace the screen. Of course depending on the model it could set the user back $899.00

However this all could have been averted by buying insurance.

They replaced my pebble, no charge. It wasn’t due to me damaging it. It was a factory defect that causes a diagonal break in the glass, unrelated to user action.

That's what it looks like here with so many people having the same problem. The screen cracking around 3 week after it is purchased.

They sell a sub standard product with a high dollar price. So if you buy another one of these after the screen cracks and I feel sure it will then that's on you for doing that.

Hi everyone, hope you are doing fine.

I am sorry to hear about the damage on your trackers. Regarding your inquiry, as you might know now, our warranty doesn't cover this type of damages. For more information you can check our warranty policy.

We thank you for being a customer and hope that the discount will help keep you in the Fitbit family.
