My charge 5 screen has gone black suddenly. I have tried to restart by plugging in to charge & pressing the button the charger 3 times. I have also plugged & unplugged 8 times & waited. Sometimes the fitbit logo comes up with a red light at the back, but that's about it. Does this mean it's time for a new one?
Thank you

Had the same issue. My fit but just decided to stop working. I wasn’t doing anything then all of the sudden my screen just went out and then flashed the logo then went to the red x that everyone else has. I’ve tried all the things and still nothing. I chatted online and the only solution was a 50% code for a new one. My Fitbit is just 1.5yrs old so out of warranty (how confident for Fitbit) but seriously not cool. Guess I’ll start shopping around for a different watch. Following to see if Fitbit will make this right for all their users.

It seems like this forum is a dead end for any useful help. Where can we go to get help?

I thought the same so contacted fitbit directly through https://support.google.com/fitbit/gethelp?hl=en
They confirmed mine was within warranty and gave me a DHL returns label to send it back and replace it. I'll update here if/when I do get a replacement. But I'd recommend using the link above to contact them and get a call back.

Thank you. I got some help through the Fitbit chat line. Seems best to make direct contact.

I have same problem except I tried to unsync and resync on the app but I can’t get the charge 5 screen to come back on so unable to sync again and when on charge just sits there and vibrate every few seconds for hours with the Fitbit logo appearing. Not sure what to do and won’t be replacing it at my own cost. Just on a year since purchase

I am done with Fitbit. I am sure they are well aware of the issue. Too bad Google bough them.

My Charge is just unreliable. At least there are plenty of other companies that stand by their products. I also believe their latest firmware or manufacturing defect is leading to all of these similar issues. Google will just ignore it, like they usually do (I had the same issue with a Pixel phone). I will never purchase another Fitbit-branded device again.
