Hi I have been unable to sync my phone (Samsung Galaxy J6) to my charge 5 since 20/10/2024. It was working well prior to this date.
I have done all the steps in previous posts including:
Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Force quit the Fitbit app.
Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
Setup your Fitbit device.
If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app multiple times, but it will not pick up my Charge 5 watch any more, and keeps telling me to try again, which I have also done.
I have turned the Bluetooth off, turned the phone off and restarted the devise multiple times with out resolution.

Mine started going wrong with an android update on the 28th October, syncing caused a reset which then looped until the battery died. Putting the face sheets in seemed to help but I've missed most morning spend due to flat battery.
Updates to app and using iOS with work phone didn't sort it.
Called tech support: You're out of warranty but here's a discount code. Except the cure is for USA and I live in UK
So someone breaks my property then offers me a partial refund? Not happy with that!
Oh and it was only 11 month old following a warranty replacement last December when a software update completely bricked it. Which was a replacement for a charge 4, you guessed it, bricked by a software update ( prior Google)

Used both iOS and Android in 4.29, still here in sync loop approx 9pm and 6am until battery dies

This might help if you're getting constant repeating resets
I noticed that putting into always on mode seems to prevent the reboot loop starting automatically. The reboot loop was being triggered by having a schedule for always on display start/end time went the charge 5 seems to try and sync with iOS and Android.
Putting into always on display with no off time seems to be more stable, though the battery takes a huge hit.
Now in v4.30, Android and iOS.
Trying to change clock face still creates a reboot loop and I'm stuck with a face trying and failing to install.

Same problem!! I’ve done all the steps and now I can’t get my Charge 5 to pair!!!! Something went wrong message over and over…this is the SECOND Charge 5 replacement in a year. I just woke up and it says I have 14,482 steps already— no wonder I’m so exhausted! I have resorted to my battered Charge 2 which paired fine. Very disappointed with Fitbit since Google took over. Poor customer service. Wanted me to shell out more money for the Charge 6 with the extended warranty coverage and/or upgrade my phone. What a joke!
