All morning my charge 5 won’t sync to my iPhone 11. I’ve gone through every step including uninstalling the app, turning blue tooth off and on, pairing again, restarting both devices. Only thing I haven’t done is a factory reset which I had to do last month when alarms stopped working and I don’t really want to do again if that’s not the problem.

I think whatever update they put out messed up everyone’s Fitbit charge 5. My won’t sync either and looking at the forums it all starts around the time of the new update.

Yes me too. Got thru to fitbit who said it was the app. They would have it addressed today. Will see if they do. They claim on there end they see the sync. I have removed my app and charge 5 and reinstall. Then i do see the sync. However there app is doing funny things with health metrics. Good luck

It's not just me then? Last synched at 18.42 GMT yesterday. It is connecting to phone as it is still showing steps covered, calories, miles etc. but nothing else. No sleep data, no stress mgt., readiness or exercise recorded. When trying to contact support through chat just left with message "wait one moment" for at least quarter of an hour before I disconnected.

Yes it just started today while I was working out! I couldn’t see how many calories I’ve burned as Charge 5 can’t sync!!

Same! I’ve literally done everything! There must be some broader issue! Other than resetting my Charge to factory, I’ve done it all including complete removal of the app and reinstalling! Everything on the phone and even connection to the app and step counting are operational. Only synch isn’t working! I bet it has something to do with both the recent app update 6 days ago and the latest iOS update which also recently happened.

Just adding my voice to the issue as it is happening to me as well. I already went through all the uninstall/re-install; hard factory reset; clear data, reboot nonsense, the whole "normal" gamut of troubleshooting. There's something much larger going on here as the head comment has stated. I've only had the Charge 5 for five months, but the experience for those 5 months has been full of buyer's remorse and this isn't helping the cause. I really miss my Charge 3.
Android 12. App version 3.64.5.

I can't sync my fitbit to the app on my phone. I am involved in several challenges with my employer and this is the only way that they track my progress. This is real money out of my pocket when it comes to my benefits. Last night I charged the device and when woke up this morning and the date is wrong as well. Customer service can't seem to figure it out after me holding forever and just told me that they are working on it but they have no idea how long it will take. This device is the most horrible fitbit device that I have owned and I have owned three now. If anyone has any suggestions, please advise.

I also updated the fitbit apps today when it couldn’t sync, Reboot 3 to 4 times, restart at least 5 times, it still couldn’t work.. think it’s the fitbit apps problem, I think?

Hello seems like this is a problem many are having, but like everyone else commenting:
I've also tried every step possible to fix it, restarted watch, restarted phone, logged out of app, cleared the cache , deleted and redownloaded app, made sure every device was up to date , removed and reconnected Bluetooth , tried on different devices, nothing seems to work.
It only partially syncs up, it's got the heart rate , the phone notifications, and the steps syncing but nothing else! (no sleep, hourly step count, activity, etc.) Issues started at 10:30 last night for me.
What i am noticing on my side is the charge 5 watch seems to still be calculating everything it's just not transmitting it correctly to the app!
Hope this gets resolved soon!

So, seems I'm not alone having trouble with my Charge 5 now. But I would add my observations.
The charge 5 stopped syncing data around 04:00 CET. That is, sleep info etc. It will report that it can't sync when I try to force sync.
I does however show steps and heartbeat.
It also shows there's an available firmware, but it can't find the Charge 5 when I try to upgrade. Although, it is no problem changing clock face for instance.
I have tried to remove the Charge 5 from my phone, and then add it again. This works well, until the update. Where the process stops.
One time it seemed to sync a bit of data when I added the Charge 5 to my app. It also report that it is synced at the time I added it.
But then it's at the same behavior again: Can't sync, can't update firmware, but does sync heartbeat and steps.
On the plus side I now know that my readiness has to be pretty low today, even without Fitbit telling me 🤷🏼:female_sign:

I am having the exact same issue and have tried everything to resolve it. In addition to this method of physically restarting, I have factory reset the device, tested connection to two android devices (phone and tablet), uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app on either device, unpaired and paired the charge 5 on either device, and rebooted and toggled off/on wifi and Bluetooth on either device.
The problem is clearly on Fitbit's end, given the multitude of complaints on this forum. Please escalate this issue with Charge 5 and Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G and Samsung Tab A 8.4 (2020), in my case).

@LizzyFitbit I unfortunately am also in the same boat. I purchased this less than a week ago and everything was working fine until now. I have followed every troubleshooting step that I could find on the website and in the forums. Both my app and my Iphone are up to date. Can't get my watch to sync with my phone even though it connects. I have sat on hold for hours with no one answering the phones, and I tried the online chat without response.
