Five Dots on Screen Charge 5

I have 5 dots towards the top of the screen that will not go away. I cannot navigate or double tap to remove. I have had the watch for less than one day.

Danny, Thank you! Your description of where this elusive button on the charger is, was the only one that makes sense. I looked for that stupid button and could not figure it out from all the other replies. Finally my fitbit is working again. This was the only way to fix my problem. I downloaded the new update (which was supposed to fix this), I also changed the watch face (epic fail), and it was the elusive button that fixed it.

You're a life saver as I was ready to pitch the **ahem** watch into my sock drawer and buy a Garmin!

@DGSP I'm sorry to see that you're still having this inconvenience with the display.

I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this and it seems they've provided you with more information. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.

Have a good day.

I'm having the same problem Emilou83.  I hope someone provides a remedy.  I tried the charger & pressing the button 3 times.  Nothing.

The "button" is hard to see but it is on the charging cable at the end with
the USB connector. Once you find it, you may need to go through the ritual
outlined in the instructions 3 to 10 or more times before it works. Good
luck.

It isn't on the watch or on the charging connection to the watch. It is on
the USB cord connector. Unplug it and take a look. You will find it there.
It took me quite a while to figure it out. Good luck!

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @mrsmall66 @ellindo

Thanks for confirming that you've been having the same problem with the screen on the Charge 5.

In addition to the three pulse restart, please make sure to try the following:

  1. Make sure the Charge 5 is updated to the latest firmware version available.
  2. Try changing the clock face option option.

@ellindo The button on to complete the restart is located at the end of the USB cable:

@BoerumHill @Urshb Thanks for taking the time to share this information. I'm it will be useful for other users as well. 😁

I'll be around.

Wow.

TWO years later (or three?) and this is still a problem.

I have not seen it happen again, but there are chunks of time when the
Charge 5 stops adding steps. I've rebooted the device and it seems to get
going again, but I just lost a whole workout today because it wasn't
working.

Still a problem. Also does not track sleep well.

Only thing you can do is add the workout manually via the dashboard. Kinda defeats the point of having a fitness tracker.

Sadly I’ve tried 3 times on my Charge 5, with no return to normal function.  The unit still charges so it must be a glitch that is fixable, but none of that suggestions have worked.
