Why did Fitbit change their sleep tracking screen? I absolutely HATE this new arrangement. The sleep tracking feature was the main reason I wore a Fitbit. The screen went from being very user friendly and attractive to a bunch of ugly lines! Being able to tap on a particular aspect of my sleep which would then change into an enlarged and more elaborate display is no longer possible! Why would Fitbit take a feature that was great and RUIN it?? I no longer have a reason to want to wear a Fitbit.

Totally agree. And since I agreed to transfer to Google, my sleep does not register on my Charge 5! What’s up???

Yes, totally agree! I have Fitbit Premium specifically to get data on my sleep. I, too, hate the changes to the app. I'd been thinking about switching to an Oura ring and subscription but had held off because I was happy with the tracking I was getting on my Fitbit, but now I'm rethinking that decision.

When I checked my sleep data this morning, I was pissed off that they screwed that up. For a while they took the battery life off the phone app, but thankfully they put that back on. I liked the old (very user friendly) sleep data graph. Don't the Fit Bit people realize that when something works, they way it is supposed to work, you DON'T need to fix it!

The previous version was easy to read and understand. Could view types of sleep and edit logs if needed. This is pretty much worthless and cumbersome. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!! Not happy with Google, guess I’ll be looking for a different watch

I also totally agree! I just tried to complain via chat customer support and got nowhere. There is no way that removing the graph for oxygen variation and replacing it with the word “low” is an improvement. I think this is a ploy to get us to sign up for premium and start sending them money every month via the subscription. I am very frustrated at Fitbit.

Absolutely disgusted with the change this week. Sleep data display was fine so why the change?! I have narcolepsy and need to know my sleep patterns. The other data display changes have been bad the last few years but this is the worst and unacceptable. Does anyone know how to get it changed back?

There isn't a way to return to the previous version of the Sleep data.
The change to the Sleep data is part of the Fitbit redesign that started rolling out last year. This 9to5 Google article (<-- click link) provides more information about Fitbit's future. Based on this article, I expect more changes to the Fitbit app will be coming.

I totally agree, we have three Fitbits in the family and all of us are getting very close to ditching them, every update appears to make things worse. Really not sure what they're playing at unless its an attempt to force Premium on users...assuming they haven't messed that up as well!

This is ridiculous…. I just had two chat sessions with Fitbit “Engineers. “…… I can’t even see the sleep stages anymore and they can’t figure it out. Everything‘s been updated.
Apple Watch is on he horizon….

I also agree. A helpful, user friendly format has been replaced by a poor substitute that has little helpful information and is incredibly difficult to read. This “improvement” was a serious degradation in quality.

Well that's great.....looking forward to loosing more functionality..
I'm guessing the missing functionality will magically become available via subscription

I absolutely agree, the new sleep data display is ugly and very difficult to read. I hate it.

Totally agree. Fitbit can you please go back to the old version of showing sleep data. This version is not legible hence customer experience is poor. This is the main feature why I use Fitbit and chose it over other competitor products. It is simply not acceptable to change this without proper user testing. Please roll back to the precious version. Or at least give that option to users that prefer the old version. Thank you

I totally agree. I like the old graphics where I could see my sleep compared to the average. This new format is completely useless to me.

There's a couple of us here at work looking for a new piece of equipment, .I have premium, so it's not that because at first I thought my subscription must have run out and now i was looking at the dumb downed version.. Nope just looking at the "Upgrade"... looks like crap...It's fine there's many other options... Ridiculous, but I guess you have to have job justification, so there you go..
